Stand Me Up? I'll Marry His Billionaire Uncle novel Chapter 190

Stellan left behind a total disaster and walked out as if nothing had happened, cool and collected.

"Dad, look at your wonderful son!" Annabelle was beside herself, torn between anger and anxiety.

Abbot rubbed his temples. "Enough shouting—will someone call an ambulance already?"

Luna was frozen, her whole body cold as she stared at the man bleeding from his head, her legs trembling so hard she could barely stand.

Was Uncle Stellan really going to take Sunny's side like this?

He'd gone so far as to beat up his own nephew for her!

"We can't call an ambulance!"

Luna suddenly spoke up. "Mom, Dad, if an ambulance pulls up in front of our house right now, who knows what the press will write?"

Magnus arched an eyebrow. "Luna, what are you saying? You'd rather let Tristan bleed out than risk a headline?"

"Someone call an ambulance—now! And bring a couple more towels, quickly!"

Zara stood off to the side, feeling useless. Still, she was surprised by Luna's reaction—she'd never seen her so calculating.

In the end, the ambulance came anyway. When the paramedics arrived and saw the blood-soaked man, they hesitated for a split second.

"What happened? Was this an assault?"

Abbot cleared his throat. "No, no—he just had an accident. Slipped and hit a vase."

The paramedics exchanged a look—was this rich family really trying to pass that off as the truth?

Without another word, they cleaned the wound, stopped the bleeding, started an IV, and got him onto a stretcher.

"He's stable for now, but we'll need to do scans at the hospital. One family member can ride with us—the rest, drive yourselves."

As a mother, Annabelle's instincts kicked in. "I'll go—I'm his mom!"

Luna hesitated, catching Magnus's narrow-eyed glare.

"Dad, I—I was just in shock. Should I go with them?"

Annabelle shot her daughter a withering look. "No, you'll just get in the way. You and your father drive over—I'll be at the hospital first!"

A bride spending her first day after the wedding in the ER—what a way to start married life.

As part of the family, Zara had to go too, but inside she was still reeling from Uncle Stellan's dramatic entrance.

[Zara: Sunny, do you know what Uncle Stellan just did?]

"Yeah."

He carried her to the sofa, settling her onto his lap with his arms locked tightly around her.

Sunny tried to wriggle free, but he wouldn't let go. "Don't move."

"What exactly were you waiting for?" Stellan pressed, wanting a real answer.

She looked away. "Nothing, really. I just heard you'd gotten into a fight."

His gaze darkened a little. Was that worry in her voice?

"Zara told you, didn't she?"

Sunny didn't want to admit it, but there was no one else at the house who'd have texted her.

His arm around her waist relaxed.

"Don't worry, I barely touched him. The wound looks worse than it is—he'll be fine."

"He needed to learn to watch his mouth. Next time he steps out of line, I won't go so easy on him."
