The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife. Finally, the man drew a sharp breath, jaw clenched, and spat out, “Fine. Fine! Camila Davis, you win this round. I’ll agree to all your terms—but only if you hand over every copy of tonight’s video. All of it!”
Camila arched an eyebrow and offered a cool smile. “Oh, Mr. Smith, you know how it works. Deals aren’t sealed until both sides deliver. You’ll get your ‘goods’ once the job’s done.”
She leaned back, her voice light. “So… tomorrow morning. 8:30 sharp. At the county clerk’s office. Be on time.”
“When we’ve signed those divorce papers, you’ll get your precious video.”
Jordan Smith’s jaw worked furiously. He slammed his hand on the table and stormed out.
After he left, Sarah Brown could barely believe what she’d just witnessed.
“Wait—did he just… cave?”
Camila grinned. “Did he have another choice? He can’t bear to see Sandra Taylor dragged through the mud.”
Sarah snorted. “Those two deserve each other. Hope they’re happy—locked up together for good! But seriously, Camila, congratulations. You’re finally free. This is the best thing that could’ve happened!”
Camila nodded, pulling Sarah up by the arm. “Come on, let’s get out of here.”
She didn’t want to linger and risk anything going sideways.
Sarah agreed, and the two slipped out without anyone daring to stop them.

Later that night, at the seaside villa…
Aaron popped in with an update. “Just got word from the lodge—Ms. Davis is safe and sound. She went over there tonight to catch them in the act. Apparently, Mr. Smith and his mistress got busted right in the act. Looks like Ms. Davis got the proof she needed.”
Dennis Williams raised an eyebrow. No wonder she’d called for help, sounding urgent. He’d thought something terrible had happened.
“Well, as long as she’s okay.”
