Chapter 23.

Rex’s pov

Sitting here listen to all that my baby have gone through in life, it truly piss me off, and I’m kicking myself for not finding her sooner. Suddenly we hear a knock on a door on the other end of the phone call.

Derick – “I will be right back Betty” Then we heard that Derick picked up the phone and walked out the door. And was in a conversation with a random person on the other end, we heard how the other person was explaining the dna test and what Angelina’s real name is.

The other person also asked if she should make the call to us or if he would like to do it. Derick told them that he would handle the call. Then the person walked away.

Derick “So I guess you have now heard that we have also confirmed that Angelina is Angelina. So the question now is do you guys want to keep being on the phone when I break the news to her or do you want to go and take care of that entitled bitch and her family that is taking up precious space on our dearest planet earth?” Derick asked us and I could hear how he was growing more angier at the end talking about that entitled bitch. I chuckled a bit at that part.

Rex – “I would love to hear her reaction, that way we know what her worries are and we can do our best to

make sure that we can ease those worries when we can take her home with us!” I said and both my dad and younger brother nodded their head in agreement.

Derick – “As you wish Don” He said before opening the door to his office again.

Derick – “Okay dear, I have some news for you” I heard Derick used a sweet voice to my baby sister.

Angelina – “Okay, lay it on me” I heard Derick chuckled a bit by that because that is the same thing he told

her.

Derick – “So your dna test result is back. And after checking the results a few times to be sure, it have shown that the people you think is you parents is not your parents. You were actually taken away from your real family when you was five years old.” Derick stopped so she could process the informasjon she was just given. And the silence started to be nerve wracking.

Angelina – “What?.. Who?.. Wha…Wait what?” She started, and I could hear she was clearly shocked, then she cleared hear voice.

Angelina – “Okay, so you’re telling me that the people I think is my parents, never was my parents. They took me away from my real parents?” She said in a confused tone.

Derick – “That is correct, and I was just on phone with your real family and they are one their way to come here as we speak.”

Angelina “They are on their way now? From where?”

Derick – “They live in New York and their plane will land in five and a half hour give or take. Your parents

name is Samuel and Isabella Vitoro. Your father Samuel and two of your brothers Rex and Leo will be with him. They all look forward to bring you back home. And your real name is Angelina Vitoro.” Derick explained carefully to Angelina. And then there were a new silence, I guess she need to process this whole thing.

Angelina “So my name is Angelina and not Betty?” so much confusion in her voice, I feel so bad for putting my baby sister through this, but it better then just walk up to her and be like ‘hey I’m your big brother, let’s go home‘

Derick – “Yes Angelina that is correct!”

Angelina – “And you are sure they even want me? Like hell I’m almost eighteen in less than seven months, you sure they want to take me in?” It broke my heart yet again when she said she is soon eighteen, we all have been missing out on so much of her life. And she think we don’t want her because she have grown up? My baby sister will always be my baby sister.

Derick – “Yes I am hundred percent sure they will want you back home with them, they have been looking for you ever since you got taken and it have not been one day in their life that they have not been thinking about you!” He said with so much love and care in his voice.

Angelina – “What if they don’t like me, or think that I’m just a burden, I don’t want to ruin their perfect family; it will be like a random person just crash their party and they all have to suddenly adjust to some stranger in their home. I’m just a nobody, I don’t have a right to crash into someone’s life, I have never..” I heard her voice become lower the more she talks.

From what I can take out of the words she is saying, she truly trying to look out for us and how her coming home will have an impact on our life. This girl truly have a heart of gold.

Angelina – “I have never felt a family’s love for as long as I can remember, I’m not sad that my so called ‘parents‘ are dead, they have treated me like I’m the biggest mistake in their life. I’m glad they are gone, I’m sorry they died the way they did, none deserves that, but Derick I’m truly a nobody and the bagage I’m carrying I don’t have the right to be in someone’s life. Especially if they are perfectly happy without me.” She said and now she had started to cry.

Do she really value her own existence that badly? I looked around on everyone in the room, and I could not see one dry pair of eyes. It hurts all of us knowing how much of a burden she think she is.

Derick “Angelina honey” I heard some shuffling noises on the other end of the call before Derick

continued.

Derick “Angelina, your family will love to have you back home as soon as possible. And from my understanding through the phone call I had with them they can’t wait to come and give you a big hug and take you home, shower you with all the love they have missed out on throughout all the years you have been held captive. Let’s give them a chance hmm? Here take this, this is my business card as well as my private phone number, if you ever need someone to talk to you can always call me!” I heard Angelina sobbing and I hear we have a long road ahead showing her that she is truly loved.
