Chapter 56.

Angelina’s pov

While Rex was carrying me down towards the living room I started to be nervous, I know I was the one that said I wanted to be honest but don’t mean my nerves is not there.

“Baby, I don’t mean to add to your nerves, but the rest of the family is here as well, they can’t wait to meet you after so long!” Rex was looking down on me with a worried look, guess he is worried about the extra added people but it’s okay.

I looked at him and gave him a smile “it’s okay, means everyone get to hear it and it’s not needed to be repeated.” I said with a small smile.

We walked down the stairs and headed to the living room. I guess I have to remind Daniel to give me that tour of the house he promised me or I will get lost in my own home.

We walked through some door and I saw a whole army of people scattered around. And I’m not gonna lie, I’m shocked how big our family is! When we entered the room all eyes fell on me and I

felt a bit out of place.

I looked at dad and he looked so sad though, guess he is blaming himself for yesterday during dinner. “Can you place me on dad’s lap please” I whispered to Rex, he looked at me for a second then dad then he gave me a nod before continuing towards dad.

He stopped in front of dad and dad stood up shocked. I reached my hands to dad so he understood that I wanted to go too him and he picked me out of Rex’s arms keeping me bridal style but hugged me tightly and I hugged him back!

“I’m so sorry for raising my voice like that yesterday!” dad had so much sadness in his voice! “Dad, it’s okay, and you don’t need to apologize!” I whispered back.

He pulled away from the hug but kept me in his arms and he looked at me with shock, happiness, love and pride. And I was confused. “You called me Dad!” He said with so much happiness.

It took me a moment to realize that was the first time I had called him dad. I smiled back at dad “I

hope it’s okay I call you that?” I asked still smiling. He brought me back into a hug.

“Yes baby of course, I will forever be your dad!” Dad whispered to me. After hugging him a little longer “So dad, can you tell me who all these people are?” I said with a nervous chuckle.

Dad pulled away from the hug again and laughed before looking back down on me, “Well I guess it’s time for everyone here to present themselves for our little princess!” dad said to everyone while

sitting down with me on his lap.

Chapter 56.

“Are you sitting comfortably princess?” dad smiling sweetly to me. “Yes thank you dad!” I looked up at my dad before I looked at everyone present. They all looked kinda scary, I see many including my oldest brothers with gun on their hips.

You know this makes me think of the one rumor about me at my old school that I was a mafia princess, and that made me giggle a little. “What’s on your mind sweetie?” Rex asked from beside me

and dad.

I looked up at him with an amused look on my face. “No it’s nothing” I said smiling to him. “Please tell us!” Leo said sitting on the couch next us. What can it hurt, they will all just laugh with me, or I

hope they will.

“There were some rumors about me on my old school, I guess it was because I was always trying to blend into the background, sometimes showed up with bruises etc. one of the rumors was that I was a missing mafia princess, it just come to mind seeing everyone here, the oldest with guns on their hips, looking all scary, extravagant house, and the premises surrounded by guards, maids and servants, the constant calling me princess. It truly just made me think of the rumors that’s all.” I said looking at Leo, and he was just staring shocked back at me.

Everyone else is looking shocked at me. My dad is very tense under me. Daniel can’t even look me in the eyes. “Oh my..” I said “You are all in the mafia aren’t you?” I said shocked.

“Honestly that makes this easier!” I said, and stood up. Everyone looked at me shocked, worried and scared. I carefully took off my zip hoodie and gave it to Rex.

“Baby what do you mean, it makes it easier? Don’t tell me you are leaving us? We won’t let our work interfere with you, we will always keep you safe!” He was saying with tears in his eyes crouching

down so he is face to face with me.

I looked into my big brothers eyes and I could see he was so afraid, he was not able to keep the tears in his eyes anymore. But I have no plan of leaving so he need to relax.

I meant it would be easier to tell them my story, because they are used to horrible stuff like it. I placed my hand on his cheek wiped away a tear that was running down.

“Do you remember what I said up in the hospital room big brother?” I still looking into his eyes with

a smile on my face. It took a moment for him to think through what I was talking about.

“You said you promised you wouldn’t leave no matter what!” he said carefully pulling me into a hug.

“That’s right, and I’m a person that never break my promises!” I said hugging him back. “I meant it

would be easier to tell you all my story” I said before pulling back from the hug and kept looking

into his eyes.

“It will be easier to tell my story because I know you can handle it! I’m sure you all have been

talking about the injuries that have come to light after the incident, and now I want to shed some

light on it and tell you all my side of it. And what I have gone through. And as I told you in the

hospital room kinda thing upstairs I’m not sharing it to get pity or for you guys to feel sorry for me! Pity is the worst thing I know, it makes me feel weak. I just hope everyone here can accept me after knowing everything and how I feel about it. You all may have ways you all think you would have done things differently then I have and that’s fine, that’s okay but also remember we are all different people and different ways of handling things. I also may be a person that is not good at relying on others because of all I have been through, and I hope you all will give me time to warm up. to the thought of asking for help” I said to Rex.
