While Jamie was trying on clothes and Hector was buying figurines, Celeste sald to Jordyn, “I’ll take you home later.”
“Home?” Sitting beside her, Jordyn said, “I don’t want to go home. I want to stay at Granny’s for another night, I’ll go back tomorrow evening.”

A few seconds later, Jordyn’s phone rang. She looked at Celeste and said, “It’s Dad calling.”
Celeste responded with a simple hum.
Whatever Trevor said on the other end, it made Jordyn put down her phone and tell Celeste, “Mom, Dad says he’s taking me out to play…”
“Mm, your dad told me. If you want to go, then go.”
“Okay!”
Half an hour later, the car Trevor sent arrived.
Betty was reluctant to see Jordyn leave, as always. She prepared a bunch of food and snacks for her to take home.
Watching the car drive away, Betty grumbled, “I used to think he was quite generous, but now… It’s only been two days, and he’s already in a hurry to take her back.”

Celeste replied, “Got it.”
Jason continued, “Trevor’s lawyer also mentioned that if you need money urgently, he can pay a portion of the assets into your account in advance. What do you think?”
Yesterday, Trevor had misunderstood her intentions.
The two birthday gifts he gave Betty had already been auctioned off, and the money had already been credited.
Ivan was not short on funds anymore.

This book needs to be ignored for 2 weeks in order to get something out of it when you read. The chapters are too short and you come out with nothing when reading one chapter. If this book wasn't so nice and I wasn't so far with it, I would have quit reading....
