The Breaking Point of Love novel Chapter 389

The group chatted while playing golf.

However, it was obvious that Theodore and Rowan were far more interested in the topic they were discussing than in the game itself.

At first, they talked about international affairs. As the conversation went on, Theodore and Rowan ended up simulating a battle arrangement right there on the spot.

As they got more and more into it, Celeste and Matthias simply stood by and listened, along with Trevor and Wynn.

Maybe not wanting the younger ones to just stand around, Rowan said, "Why don't you join in and share your thoughts?"

After a moment, Celeste spoke up, "With strong enemies on all sides, it's not suitable to charge in alone. So for now, staying put would be a good choice."

Hearing this, Wynn paused.

She had to admit, it was a good idea. If Celeste hadn't said it first, she honestly wouldn't have thought of it herself.

Just as that thought crossed her mind, she saw Rowan smiling and nodding in agreement.

Matthias reacted quickly too. He moved two cups that they were using as props for the simulation and said, "I would choose to flank from both sides."

When he finished, Rowan, Theodore, and Harold all smiled approvingly, clearly satisfied with his arrangement.

Then they all turned to look at Trevor and Wynn. Since Celeste and Matthias had already spoken, it was naturally their turn.

Wynn stared at the simulated battlefield for a moment but couldn't think of a good strategy right away.

She looked at Trevor.

Just then, Trevor said, "Our remaining forces aren't strong enough to defend the city, but if we cut off the enemy's retreat by moving northwest, there's a chance to turn the tables."

Theodore clapped and laughed, "Brilliant! And then?"

Wynn stayed quiet for a moment.

After carefully analyzing the situation, she gradually came up with an idea and said with a smile, "Mobilize forces from the southeast to attack the northwest. That way, we can capture the city in one move."

Her plan, however, directly challenged Celeste's earlier idea of staying put.

Rowan smiled kindly, "It's just a small game. There's no need to worry."

Since they were here to play golf after all, they didn't continue the simulation. Instead, they returned to golfing.

While they played, Wynn noticed that whenever Rowan and Theodore spoke to Celeste and Matthias, their attitude was extremely friendly.

It was obvious they valued the two young people a lot.

It made sense that they would value Matthias. But their attitude toward Celeste didn't seem any less warm.

They even affectionately called Celeste by her nickname while they addressed Wynn formally.

It made Wynn wonder if it was because of Celeste's paper. Had they been so impressed by it that they actually believed she was exceptionally talented?

Seeing this, Wynn pressed her lips together. Still, she didn't say anything.

As they continued golfing and chatting, Celeste and Trevor didn't exchange a single word. They kept their distance, looking like two people who had absolutely no connection to each other.
