The Breaking Point of Love novel Chapter 507

Peter had just turned to leave when Trevor brought Celeste's phone over from Jordyn's room.

Taking it from his hand, Celeste didn't lift her head, only said softly, "Thank you."

Trevor said nothing.

Celeste got out of bed, intending to go to Jordyn's room to wash up.

Seeming to read her intention, Trevor stood there, watching her before he spoke, "There's a toothbrush and cup here too."

Celeste's steps paused. Since she had already rested here, washing up here didn't seem to make much difference.

After a brief hesitation, she turned and went into Trevor's bathroom.

While she was brushing her teeth, Bill arrived.

After she was done washing up, Bill examined and carefully asked about her condition. Then, while setting up an IV drip for her, he also gave Trevor detailed instructions on what to watch out for in the days ahead.

After Bill left, Trevor brought over the soup that Peter had prepared.

Celeste hesitated briefly before reaching out to take it. "Thank you."

"It's okay."

She was running a high fever now, feeling utterly awful, with no appetite at all. But she still forced herself to eat slowly.

While drinking the soup, she suddenly thought of something. Turning her head slightly to look at Trevor, who was sitting not far away watching her, she asked in a hoarse voice, "Where's Jo?"

"She's downstairs. Both Jo and Grandma are very worried about you, but children are fragile, and Grandma hasn't fully recovered yet either. I was afraid they'd catch it from you, so I didn't let them come up."

"Mm."

Celeste managed half a bowl before she couldn't eat any more.

Seeing how hard it was for her, Trevor didn't insist. He took the bowl from her hand, pulled a tissue, and handed it over for her to wipe her mouth.

"If you're not comfortable, just rest. Once the IV's done, I'll call Dr. Carter back up."

When she came back out, Trevor handed her a thermometer.

Chapter 507 3

Celeste took it. "Okay."

Though still weak, she felt somewhat better than before.

Glancing at Trevor's laptop on the desk, she said, "I can take care of myself now. Go ahead with your work."

At that, Trevor looked at her for a moment but didn't reply.

Just then, his phone rang.

He went over to pick it up. Then, he answered the call and stepped out of the room.
