Chapter 1047
Shaun admitted that he knew Sierra.
“Wow!”
The entire lecture hall erupted. That one sentence basically announced to everyone that Sierra was his girlfriend.
“You’re so lucky, Sierra! When you marry Mr. Lane, you have to invite us to the wedding!”
This was exactly the kind of envious attention Sierra had wanted, but now, it felt suffocating.
She hurriedly explained, “No, you’ve got it all wrong. Mr. Lane and I aren’t like that…”
Shaun smirked, a cold edge to his tone. “Sierra is right. Our relationship isn’t what you imagine. We just know each other. She’s not my fiancée.”
The classmates froze, whispering among themselves.
“Wait, what’s going on?”
“Sierra was acting so friendly with Mr. Lane just now. I thought she was his girlfriend!”
Shaun looked at Sierra. “I didn’t know her before. She’s my fiancée’s friend, and my fiancée even invited her to
stay at our house for a bit. That’s how I met her.”
“Stay at your house?”
Because everyone had witnessed Sierra causing a scene in the cafeteria today, people quickly put two and two
together.
“Wait… Is Mr. Lane’s fiancée…Halsey?”
A hush fell over the room as all eyes turned to the back row, where Halsey sat.
Halsey hadn’t said anything earlier because Shaun’s presence made it unnecessary. She had already figured it out–Shaun had come to support her. Whatever happened in the cafeteria had clearly reached his ears, which explained why he had taken the time to come to Anteoch University.
Shaun walked slowly and confidently down from the podium, stopping in front of Halsey. His deep, magnetic voice carried through the entire lecture hall.

“Honey, I want to make our relationship public today. Is that okay?”
Just the way he said “honey” sent the room into an uproar.
“Oh, my gosh! Halsey is Mr. Lane’s fiancée!”
“We should’ve guessed! They’re totally perfect for each other!”
Amid the students‘ excited whispers, Halsey’s red lips lifted into a radiant smile.
“Of course, it’s okay!”
She stood beside Shaun and addressed the room.
“I didn’t mean to hide this from you all. I just didn’t want my personal life to take up your valuable class time.
Shaun is my fiancé, and we’re getting married soon! You’re all invited to our wedding!”
