Class G came together as onc, united by something powerful and unspoken. They’d made up their minds. They were going to fight for their dignity and their honor.
Ravenna watched as student after student rallied together, her expression darkening like a storm cloud.
Unbelievable. These little punks actually think they can stand up to me?‘ Ravenna seethed.
Kayla caught the dark look on Ravenna’s face and decided to twist the knife a little deeper. “Ravenna, since we both agree, why don’t we put this in writing? Some people have a history of backing out of their promises, so I’d rather be safe.”
Ravenna’s mouth twitched. She knew exactly who Kayla was talking about. But remembering what she’d been told to do, Ravenna forced the words through gritted teeth. “Fine. I’ll sign.”

News about the bet with Ravenna spread across campus like wildfire.
Students from other classes kept showing up at Class G, either checking if it was actually true or just looking for entertainment.
Most people figured it was a joke. Even Class G’s teachers didn’t take it seriously. They all assumed it was a lost cause and Class G would crash and burn.
After all, Class G’s academic history was basically a permanent embarrassment. They were always dead last in rankings. Every exam, their scores just tanked worse and worse.
But when the teachers walked into Class G’s classroom, they couldn’t believe what they saw. The usual chaos had completely disappeared. Every single student had their nose buried in a textbook, and the room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
This sudden transformation made the teachers start questioning their earlier assumptions. Deep down, something like hope started stirring, though they couldn’t quite believe it.
More than once, a teacher would open the door, see the intense studying happening inside, and wonder if they’d walked into the wrong classroom.
After double–checking the room number, they finally had to accept that this was really happening in Class G, the worst class in the entire school. Not Class A, where all the top students were.
When the bell rang, the Language Arts teacher started packing up to leave. But before she could take a step, the students stopped her. “Miss, you haven’t finished! Where are you going?”
The Language Arts teacher blinked and smiled awkwardly. “Well, class is over. I didn’t want to keep you.”
She remembered how it used to be. If she’d gone even one minute over, Class G students would’ve complained immediately. She’d never dared push it.
Class G students remembered too, and embarrassment flickered across their faces

Kayla jumped in with a smile. “Miss, we were pretty clueless back then. Could you maybe go a little longer from now on? Anyone who needs a break can step out quietly. We really want to learn as much as we can.
The Language Arts teacher’s eyes lit up like she’d just witnessed a miracle. She stared at the Class G students in total disbelief. But when she saw everyone nodding in agreement, their eyes full of genuine determination to learn, she couldn’t say no. She smiled. “Okay, sure!”
Usually when the bell rang, it was like a starting gun. The whole campus exploded with noise and energy as everyone rushed out. But outside Class G’s classroom, something completely different was happening.
Just as the physics teacher, Louis Connor, stepped out of the classroom, someone practically tackled him. “Mr. Connor, wait up. I’ve got a question!”
Tania was out of breath but clutching his sleeve like her life depended on it. Her eyes were blazing with this intense need–to–know look, like a hunter spotting prey.
Louis nearly dropped his lesson plans, startled by the ambush. He took a breath, pushed up his glasses, and looked at Tania’s desperate expression with a mix of surprise and amusement.
“Easy there, I’m not going anywhere. Though the way you came at me, I thought I might need an escape route,” Louis said with a slight smile.
Tania realized she’d gotten carried away and quickly let go, scratching her head sheepishly. “Sorry, Mr. Connor. I got too excited. It’s just–about the short circuits and open circuits you explained–I’m still confused. Can you go over it again?”
Louis had heard all about the drama between Class A, Class G, and Ravenna. He’d been watching Class G’s transformation firsthand.
He didn’t write off students just because they struggled. That kind of labeling never sat right with him. What he loved most were students hungry to learn. Even if they were behind, he was always happy to help them catch up.
Louis gave Tania an encouraging pat on the shoulder. “Alright, let me walk you through it again. But this time, really listen.”
Kayla wandered over with a grin. “Mr. Connor, can I get some extra help too?”
Louis nodded and pulled a crumpled piece of scrap paper from his pocket, sketching out a circuit diagram right there in the hallway. As he drew, he explained everything–how current flowed, what resistance did, the key differences between short circuits and open circuits–making it–all clear and easy to follow.
Within minutes, students packed the hallway around him, laser–focused on that scrap of paper. Nobody wanted to miss a single detail. Confusion would flash across their faces, then suddenly understanding would click and they’d nod, eyes lighting up.
Whenever Louis hit a key point, questions burst out.
“What happens to the current if the resistance increases?” one asked.
