But Samson wouldn’t let it go. His voice stayed firm, even harsh. “Sloane, don’t defend him. The Blackhawk exam is tied to your future–there’s no room for mistakes. You should be focusing all your energy on preparing. Everything else can wait.”

Jordan clearly wasn’t happy, but he also knew the exam was right around the corner–Sloane couldn’t afford distractions.
