Chapter 252 Tennis Lessons and Unspoken Feelings

The two of them rode out to the tennis court behind the villa and started with some warm-up exercises.

Once they were done, Lucas began teaching Sloane how to hold the racket.

He stepped behind her and gently took her hand, adjusting her grip. Their bodies were close, and Lucas Could clearly catch the faint scent clinging to her-like sunshine and fresh flowers. It made him feel strangely restless.

“Holding it this way will give you better control,” Lucas said softly, his voice a little husky.

Sloane felt his warm breath brush past her ear, and her earlobes flushed red. She nodded slightly, trying to keep her focus. “Got it.”

Lucas let go of her hand and walked to the other side of the court, picking up his own racket. “Now I’ll serve. Try to return it.”

He tossed the ball lightly and sent it over with a slow swing. Sloane kept her eyes locked on the ball and swung at it. Her movements were still a bit stiff, but she managed to hit it back.

“Not bad!” Lucas smiled encouragingly. “Let’s try again.”

They hit the ball back and forth, and soon Sloane was getting the hang of it. Her smile grew brighter with each try.

Watching her so happy filled Lucas with a deep, indescribable sense of satisfaction. He was finding it harder and harder to look away. Every smile, every movement-each one made his heart race.

“I’m done. Kinda tired. Let’s take a break,” Sloane said, laughing as she wiped the sweat from her forehead.

Lucas walked over and handed her a bottle of water. “Yeah, rest for a bit.”

Sloane took the water, drank a sip, and looked up at him with a playful glint in her eye. “Looks like you’ve taught me another new skill. Thanks.”

Lucas felt a flutter in his chest as he looked at her. He couldn’t resist reaching out and gently ruffling her hair. “You’re welcome.”

Sloane met his gaze-his dark eyes full of tenderness and depth, as if holding something unspoken that pulled her in without warning.

She knew this feeling was different from what she’d felt with anyone else. But she wasn’t sure yet if it was love. She needed more time to find out.

By the time they got back to the villa around noon, Madam Tessa was already sitting in the living room. She smiled kindly when she saw them return. “You’re back. Have fun?”

“It was great. I even learned how to play tennis,” Sloane replied with an easy smile.

Lucas hadn’t stopped smiling the entire time, and his eyes stayed on Sloane from start to finish.

Madam Tessa nodded in satisfaction, her gaze moving between them with a knowing look. “That’s good.
