Ginnie ignored Larry’s warning, her smile undeterred. “Mr. Whitney, there’s no need to be so distant. I’m just saying-we could work together. Help each other get what we want.”

Larry frowned, his tone skeptical. “Work together? What do you mean?”

Her smile brightened, her voice smooth and coaxing. “You like Sloane, I like Lucas. If we team up to break them apart, we’ll both benefit.”

Larry’s eyes chilled, his voice low and sharp. “Whatever happens between you and Lucas is your business. But if you think I’ll let you use me as your pawn, you’re dead wrong.”

He turned to leave.

Jill had been held back by Samson earlier and had dropped her plan to confront Lucas, but she wasn’t

exactly feeling charitable toward him anymore either. She grabbed Sloane’s hand and led her aside for a private chat.

Lucas could sense something had changed. Sloane was keeping her distance-and he had no idea why. Every time he tried to talk to her, she found a reason to excuse herself.

From a distance, Ginnie watched the tension between them with glee. Sensing the opportunity, she suggested cheerfully, “Why don’t we all join the vineyard treasure hunt?”

To celebrate the opening of the estate, the stall had prepared a light-hearted game a scavenger hunt for wine-themed trinkets hidden around the vineyard. The group that found the most items would win a
