All three professors turned to look at Sloane.

Suddenly feeling like she was being crushed by a mountain of pressure, Sloane looked at the three men and tentatively offered, “How about I study all three programs at once?”
“What?” The four men gaped at her, as if she’d just said something completely unthinkable.
After a brief silence, the room erupted.
Mr. Lyan was the first to recover. “Sloane, you need to understand that human energy is limited. Studying three majors at once would put a huge strain on you from the very start.
Mr. Samson was clearly displeased. “You’re making it sound way too easy. Forget about scheduling—the homework, exams, and projects for three departments would be overwhelming.”
Mr. Jordan also disagreed. “This is nonsense. These aren’t simple subjects–each major has its own complex knowledge system. Even the most brilliant students would struggle to keep up.”
Chandler, after a moment of contemplation, said, “No one in our school has ever attempted a triple major… but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.”
The other three turned to look at Chandler like he’d lost his mind.
Sloane responded with a confident smile. “Just because no one else can do it doesn’t mean I can’t.”
“Arrogant!” Mr. Jordan suddenly burst into hearty laughter. “I like it!”
His sudden change of heart left everyone in the room stunned.
When he stopped laughing, he looked at Sloane with admiration in his eyes. “It’s been a long time since I met a student this bold. Alright, I support you! Young people should have this kind of daring.”

Mr. Samson still looked worried. His brows furrowed. “Jordan, this isn’t a joke. What if she burns out trying to juggle everything and ends up wasting her potential?”
Mr. Lyan agreed. “Exactly. The spirit is commendable, but the risk is real. Sloane, you really should think this through.”
Chandler raised a hand to settle the room. “I understand your concerns. But if Sloane has made up her mind, I think we should give her a chance.”
Sloane looked at Chandler, gratitude shining in her eyes. “Thank you, Mr. Chandler. I’ll manage my time carefully and make sure I don’t fall behind in any my courses.”
Chandler nodded with a warm smile. “Good. Then it’s settled. Sloane, prepare yourself for a serious challenge. The school will give you its full support—but in the end, it’s your own effort that will carry you.”
Sloane’s gaze was unwavering. “I understand. I’m ready.”

Meanwhile, over on campus, Samantha had her eyes glued to the university’s online forum. A post about Sloane had stirred up quite a storm, and the comment section was filled with vicious rumors and insults. Her lips curled into a poisonous smirk.
Sloane, let’s see how you come back from this.
Today was the day Stonebridge University was supposed to announce the results of the special admissions exam. But for some reason, the results still hadn’t been posted. Students crowded around the notice board, murmuring amongst themselves.
“Do you think the stuff on the forum might be true?”
“They haven’t released the results for so long–must be something shady going
on.”
“But isn’t the engagement between Lucas and Sloane just a political move? Why would he go to such lengths to promote her name?”
