“Of course!” Quentin dangled a piece of wire in his hand. With that, he could open any door.

“I covered the cameras in my room, but the ones in the hall definitely caught me. What’s the plan now, Beautiful?” Quentin grinned as he looked at her.

“I’m wondering what the next assessment will be. They’re moving us to another island. If it’s far away, that could be dangerous.” Theresa’s tone turned thoughtful.

The only reason she had dared to participate in this assessment at all was because the Blazing Sun Alliance had her back.

Just like before, when she had been able to enter the inner camp directly, she had been within her own sphere of control.

No matter how reckless she was, she always had protection. But heading to some unknown place? She had to weigh whether the risk was worth taking.

Just then, her door opened again–this time with a key.

The sound made Theresa shove Quentin into the bathroom and press herself against the wall by the entrance, poised like a predator ready to strike.

The door swung open. Standing outside was a staffer in a white coat, an access card hanging from her neck.

Theresa relaxed slightly when her eyes fell on the code stamped across the woman’s chest: A051.

The woman herself nearly jumped in fright at almost being ambushed, but then her eyes widened. “It’s you!”

“It’s you, Vinny’s mom.” Theresa straightened, her tone casual.

A051 froze at the words, eyes widening further. “Why are you still here? Where’s Vinny? I told you to leave!”

“She’s at my alliance base, safe. I didn’t bring her here,” Theresa explained.

Only then did A051 exhale in relief. She shut the door quickly, her expression turning grave. “You shouldn’t have come. I told you the Divine Academy is powerful!”

“What exactly is the Divine Academy? How powerful?”

“You know of them?” A051’s surprise was clear.

“I’ve heard a little. The Divine Academy belongs to them, doesn’t it?”

“No. The Academy is only one branch, and the lowest one at that.” A051 met her gaze, her words slow and heavy. “The Starborn Order has four divisions: the Divine Academy, the Divine Institute, the Production Company, and the Legion.
