"Such impressive talent at such a young age."
Niki blushed as her uncle praised her.
She spoke up, her voice gentle and soft, "You give me too much credit, Uncle. Jarvis is amazing too."
Jarvis grinned as he scooted closer to Niki. "If you keep saying that, I’ll start believing I’m actually that good."
Caleb watched his son’s enthusiasm with raised brows, pleasantly surprised. Jarvis usually steered clear of unfamiliar kids—this little girl was clearly an exception.
"Mr. Northrop?!"
Before Caleb could respond, a voice called out, loud and eager.
Leanne had spotted Caleb from across the room, her face lighting up with excitement. She hurried over, hand outstretched for a handshake. "Hello, I’m Leanne from Intellectech."
Caleb lifted an eyebrow and glanced her way, but made no move to shake her hand.
Alexander and Millie came over as well, children in tow.
Leanne’s hand hovered awkwardly in the air, her smile wavering.
Caleb regarded the group, his attention briefly on the kids. "Mr. Davidson, and you are...?"
Alexander’s expression was neutral, but his manners intact. "Just here with my wife and son for the competition."
Niki listened quietly, lips pressed together, gaze fixed on the floor.
As soon as Alexander finished speaking, his phone rang. He glanced at the screen, gave a quick apologetic nod, and stepped aside to take the call.
The moment Jarvis spotted Leanne, his face darkened.
"Dad, don’t talk to that mean old lady," Jarvis muttered, scowling. "She’s the one who brought her grandson here and accused Niki of cheating."
"Mr. Northrop, I—"
Caleb smiled faintly. "So, you’ve apologized for your mother, but she herself hasn’t. Is that right?"
"And not only that—she teamed up with you to pick on my son?"
Millie and Leanne both went pale.
If they’d known Jarvis was Caleb’s son, they’d never have acted as they did. Who would have guessed the boy they tried to single out had a father like Caleb Northrop?
"Mr. Northrop, it truly was just a misunderstanding," Millie stammered. "We all make mistakes—nobody’s perfect."
"My mother’s elderly, and sometimes her judgment slips. But that doesn’t reflect on our company’s standards."
Caleb’s smile was cool, his hand slipping into his pocket as he regarded her with a look that was impossible to read. "If that’s how your company handles things, The Northrop Group won’t be interested in working with you."

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
