Gian listened, frowning as he mulled it over.
The plan was doable, at least in theory. But collecting DNA evidence—that was going to be tricky.
“So this evidence collection—” Gian looked at Danielle, his concern plain. “Given you’re not in contact with them anymore, it’ll be tough, won’t it?”
Danielle shook her head. “It won’t be.”
Getting what she needed would just mean a trip back to the old family home.
Gian let out a long breath, rising to his feet. He fixed Danielle with a steady gaze. “As long as you know what you’re doing. But promise me—be careful. Your safety comes first.”
After what happened with Niki’s abduction, Gian didn’t doubt for a second what that crowd was capable of. If they were pushed, there was no telling how far they’d go.

The ISSDS competition was just around the corner, and Danielle’s team was deep into preparations.
Mr. Hawthorne placed a lot of importance on this event. Within the Northern Eye Team were a handful of exceptional students—talented, ambitious, and now finalists. For them, this competition was a defining milestone, something they’d been dreaming of for months.
Danielle knew exactly how much was riding on this. The competition was a team effort; for her, the prestige wasn’t what it used to be. But for those students who hadn’t yet graduated, this was the biggest opportunity of their lives.
Gian watched as Danielle led her group through a flurry of strategy meetings. He’d been present for several, observing her quietly.
“Millie’s team is stacked,” he mentioned one evening. “Alexander recruited some top talent, and he’s brought in even more for the finals. It’s going to be a challenge.”
After all, most of Danielle’s team were still students. Alexander was determined to help Millie take the championship—he wanted to make a statement.
Danielle didn’t even look up from her laptop as she analyzed the data scrolling across her screen. “I’m not worried about winning.”
Especially now, with phase two of the Ninesky project entering its final stretch and government delivery due by the end of the month. For Vanguard to suddenly switch sides—something was off.
Gian put his phone away, his expression cooling. “Let’s not panic. At a moment like this, for Vanguard to side with AetherX Dynamics—Millie doesn’t have that kind of influence.”
The only one who did was Alexander.
In business, there were no permanent enemies.
Alexander and Harold had never worked together—they’d always been rivals, North versus South, never crossing paths. Now, with this move, it meant they’d joined forces.
Two industry giants teaming up—Danielle recognized the threat instantly.
She looked down at her phone. New messages were already pouring in.

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
