If Alexander could just disown his son so easily, it wouldn’t make any sense—Raffy would always be able to lay claim to the Davidson family, one way or another.
She steeled herself in silence, already mapping out her own comeback. She didn’t need Millie; with Raffy right in front of her, she could carve out another path to glory.
Raffy was remarkable now, and in ten years, he might well become a prodigy.
After all, their family’s bloodline was exceptional.
Fate had no right to snuff them out for good.

Outside the emergency room at the hospital.
Danielle paced anxiously in the corridor. Alexander’s car screeched to a halt at the entrance of the ER. He strode briskly up the stairs, and as soon as he reached the landing, he caught sight of Danielle’s worried face.
Leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, he watched her from afar. “Worried, are you?”
Danielle shot him a glance. He kept his distance, a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth.
It had already been two hours. Nathan Davidson was still inside, fighting for his life.
No one knew how or when Alexander had shown up at the hospital.
“That’s your brother in there. Aren’t you concerned at all?”
A cold, mocking smile flickered across Alexander’s face. His voice dripped with sarcasm. “You’re terrified he’ll die, aren’t you? Afraid you’ll lose the only man you ever loved in this world.”
Danielle’s expression changed instantly, her face tightening in anger.
“Alexander, do you even hear yourself?” Her tone was icy. “You’re not just insulting me—you’re dragging your own brother through the mud. In your eyes, is there nothing but filth between us?”
Alexander’s eyes were dark, unreadable. He didn’t have a chance to respond. Just then, the doors to the ER burst open.
“Is any family here for Nathan Davidson?”
Danielle’s heart skipped a beat. She stepped forward. “How is he?”
The doctor glanced at her. “He’s lost a lot of blood. He could go into shock—we need a transfusion. Are you his family?”
“If you care about him this much, doesn’t that scare you?”
Danielle stood there, pale and cold, only one thing on her mind. “Nothing can happen to him. Not now, not ever.”
Alexander studied her for a long moment before letting out a bitter, mocking laugh. “Who knows whether we’re saving a saint or a snake.”
Danielle’s lips set in a hard line. “In your eyes, there’s no such thing as a good person.”
“Everything’s a calculation to you. Cold and cunning—that’s all you see.”
Even his own daughter was just a pawn, something to be used for his own advantage.
Everyone around him was just another piece on the board.
He gave a sharp, derisive snort.
“Danielle.” Alexander’s gaze locked onto her, icy and unwavering. “If you’d ever trusted me, none of this would be happening.”

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
