Chapter 169 Amalie
A you quis done pet
Sem kaks with a sigh as he leans against the door frame.
“What if we don’t want the day to end?” Vickie challenges him with an eyebrow raised.
“Well, Mark just mind linked that dinner is ready. Mike cooked and he is inviting your friends over,” he tells me.
“Mike is cooking? What are we doing here,” Vickie cheers as she bolts from the bed.
“I don’t understand,” Kira says as she looks around in confusion.
Kim shrugs her shoulders as she is in the dark as well.
“Uncle Mike is an amazing cook,” I tell them as I start to get up.
“James said something about not eating at his place tonight,” Kira says as she starts to get up.
“Can my mate come?” Kim asks as she gets off the bed. She looks nervous as she asks.
‘Mark, can Kim’s mate come over?‘ I ask through the mind link.

‘If he wants,‘ Mark tells me.
‘Okay, we’re on our way then,‘ I tell him with a laugh. “Mark says that your mate can come over,” I tell Kim.
Kim nods her head and her eyes glaze over as she mind links her mate.
“Let’s go girls, I want good food,” Vickie shouts from the stairway.
“I’m going to tell Michelle that Vickie doesn’t think her food is good enough,” Sam mutters loud enough for us to hear.
“I would almost say that the two are siblings with how she likes to push his buttons,” Kira whispers to me.
“I think she likes to just push buttons in general,” I laugh.
“She is annoying,” Sam growls.
The three of us laugh as we follow the Gamma down the stairs. We make our way towards home. A warrior joins us on the way home. Kim introduces us to her mate Ben. Like most warriors, he tall and imposing. But he is incredibly sweet to Kim, as he offers her a few flowers that he had picked along the way. Kira, Vickie, and I try not to coo at how adorable they are.
“Thank you for letting us come over, Luna,” Ben tells me.
“You’re welcome. Thanks for letting Kim hang out with us,” I tell him with a smile.
“Pick up the pace!” Vickie cheers as she spots home.

Chapter 169 Amalie
3 like the sound of home, Beren purts.
‘Same,‘ I tell her as I speed up slightly.
“You should let Ama go first,” Sam grumbles.
“Right!” Vickie cheers as she stops at the bottom step of the porch. She turns and waits on me.
I give her and Sam a look. They are planning something. Vickle would not have listened to Sam unless there was a surprise waiting Also, the fact that Mark mind linked Sam first and not me. Sam has his face set neutrally, not giving anything away. Vickie is smiling at me.
I walk up the steps and look around at everyone. I open the screen door and then the main door. Multiple scents hit me at once. More than what lives here or normally just visits.
I take my time as I take off my shoes. I smirk to myself as I plan on making those in the house wait. My smirk deepens as I hear bushed whispers.
“What are you doing?” Vickie demands as she follows me inside.
“I’m taking off my shoes, so I don’t track dirt through the house,” I tell her as I move my shoes off to the side with more care than I
needed to.
“I’m hungry,” Vickie says.
“Well, you know where the kitchen is,” I laugh slightly. “Unless there is a reason why you need me to go first?”
“Nope, we just want to wait on you,” Kira says quickly with a glare thrown Vickie’s direction.
I guess she is in on what is happening. I nod my head and stand up straight. Everyone is watching me intensely. I really want to mess with them and drag it out. But I kinda want to see what is actually happening. I turn and walk towards the dining room, as this is where all the scents are coming from.
My family are what I see first. Cal and Mark are standing there, holding Rose. Uncle Mike and Uncle Will are there as well. I see the banner next. Happy Gotcha Day it reads. As I walk into the dining room. I see everyone else. James, Jimmy, Gretchen, her mate, Nick, and a girl, who I am assuming is his mate.
“Mommy sad,” Rose says as she gets out of Cal’s hold.
I reach up and wipe my eyes. I hadn’t realized that I started crying. “I’m not sad,” I assure her as I pick up my pup.
“Happy tears?” she asks me.
“Happy tears,” I tell her.
“Heck yes, they better be happy tears,” Vickie cackles.
“Vic,” Jimmy sighs at his mate.
I laugh at my best friend, and she sends me a triumphant smirk as she joins her mate.
