Too Good for You: The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 144

Just then, Noelle heard the cold voice of a man behind her. "I didn't expect you to have this kind of hobby, Noelle."

Noelle spun around in fright, only to see Hunter looking at her with a smile, dressed in casual clothes. There was no telling how long he'd been standing there; he hadn't made a sound.

Noelle was shocked. "What are you doing here?"

Wait, no. How did Hunter even recognize her?

She had painstakingly altered her face and her voice. Even the people closest to her couldn't possibly recognize her.

As if he saw right through Noelle's confusion, Hunter chuckled. He leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Did you forget? I've seen every single mask you've ever made."

Noelle lamented the fact that Hunter's memory was terrifyingly good.

Six years had passed, yet he still remembered it all clearly.

But with them standing so close and whispering into each other's ears, they looked incredibly intimate to any bystander.

Not far away, Raymond's gaze was fixed on them, especially on Hunter. His eyes were practically burning.

While Noelle and Hunter talked, Raymond walked up with a hostile look on his face. "Coach Haberkorn, can I have a word with you in private?"

Hunter glanced at him with a puzzled expression before looking back at Noelle. In the end, he followed Raymond out.

The moment they stepped out of the lounge, Raymond's expression darkened. He seemed to be bristling with anger. "Coach Haberkorn, aren't you an admirer of Ms. Quinn? You even quit the intensive training camp for her. It hasn't even been that long, and you're already flirting with another woman?"

Thinking of how close those two had been, Raymond couldn't stand it.

If Noelle found out, wouldn't she be heartbroken?

Only then did Hunter understand. As a racing enthusiast, it was only natural that Raymond knew of the intensive training camp. Plus, with his friendship with Noelle, it was clear that Raymond was speaking up for her.

Hunter was both amused and exasperated. He wanted to explain, but he didn't know where to begin. "You've misunderstood. I really do like Noelle…"

Raymond retorted, "You like her, but you got so close to another woman."

He sneered. "I thought you were different from those rich playboys, but it seems you're no better. You don't deserve Ms. Quinn."

Without waiting for Hunter to explain himself, Raymond turned around and left.

Watching from not far away, Noelle couldn't help letting out a laugh.

She walked over and sighed helplessly under Hunter's resentful gaze. "You asked for it."
