Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 125

When Aurora woke up, Daniel was already gone.

He didn’t show up all morning.

It wasn’t until two in the afternoon that Una sent her a video.

The clip was from a Chambers Group press conference. In it, Samuel publicly admitted to leaking the Equinox Formula, stating clearly that Aurora had nothing to do with it.

The comments section was a storm of outrage.

Some people, unaware of the full story, questioned whether Samuel was just taking the fall for Aurora because they were siblings.

But it didn’t take long before someone pointed out Samuel’s history of violence, quickly shutting down that theory.

Una sent a few more videos—executives from the rival company admitting they’d bribed research staff to steal the formula.

Aurora, it turned out, was the victim.

Una messaged her.

“Daniel finally did something decent for once.”

“Guess Eleanor’s charms aren’t all that after all.”

There was a definite note of schadenfreude.

Aurora replied, “Chambers Group suffered a big loss this time, too.”

If not, Daniel wouldn’t have handled things by the book.

Apologies flooded Aurora’s social media. Her follower count was shooting up by the second.

She skimmed through the comments, then set her phone aside.

Back at her tiny apartment, she changed into a stylish outfit, touched up her makeup, and headed to the airport.

She was going to see Samuel off.

Aurora timed it perfectly.

By the time she arrived, Samuel’s flight was leaving in ten minutes.

The VIP lounge was crowded.

“Aurora,” Eleanor asked, voice fragile but accusing, “if you’re really a Quinn, how can you be so cold? Why force Samuel to leave?”

“We’re just Quinns. That’s all,” Aurora replied, her emphasis on the “that’s all” making her point perfectly clear.

Sharing a last name didn’t make them family.

Eleanor couldn’t take it anymore. Her fragile demeanor cracked, turning fierce as she grabbed Aurora’s wrist and dragged her out of the lounge.

“Let’s talk.”

Aurora didn’t resist. She was genuinely curious—what would Eleanor say now, with Samuel about to leave the country and still no confession from her?

Outside the lounge, Eleanor bit her lip, as if summoning all her courage.

“Aurora, I will bring Samuel back.”

So that was it—Eleanor had pulled her aside just to declare war.

“Good luck with that,” Aurora said with a cool smile. “It’s just a shame—you won’t have Samuel’s help anymore.”
