Drusilla barely gave him the time of day, let alone any interest, as she made her way inside upright.
Harlan wasn't in any rush, though. As she walked inside, he just trailed behind her, following her into the apartment complex.
Once in the lobby, she pressed the elevator button, and he tagged along.
Seeing him shadow her like some ever-haunting ghost, she asked, "What exactly do you want?"
Was he a stalker?
The guy was seriously messed up!
Harlan's gaze settled on Drusilla's face as he asked, "Have you slept with Enoch?"
His direct question caught Drusilla off guard. She watched him and chuckled, "Didn't you say Enoch wouldn't give me the time of day? Aren’t you just slapping your own face by asking this question?"
Harlan stared at Drusilla, "So, you did sleep with him? You've known him for such a short while and you've already jumped into his bed?"
"Harlan," Drusilla said, "mind your language! Who I sleep with is none of your business."
As if he had any right to meddle in her affairs!
Harlan, seeing Drusilla's dismissive attitude, retorted, "How is it none of my business? You think I don't feel disgusted seeing you fawn over Enoch?"
He had lost his appetite that evening just seeing her and Enoch together. It made him sick to his stomach!
