Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 56

You have to admit, their customer service is top-notch.

Drusilla had been sitting for a while, scrolling through her phone. The daycare had sent her a couple of updates about her kids, and she was engrossed in them when someone approached.

“Hello, Althea.” It was the secretary’s polite voice.

“Where’s Mr. Taylor?” The woman referred to as Althea asked, her tone carrying a hint of assertiveness.

That voice…

It sounded familiar.

Drusilla looked up and, sure enough, it was Althea—her high school classmate.

These past few years, with kids in the picture, Drusilla had lost touch with most of her classmates and hardly ever attended reunions.

You see, she used to be quite the social butterfly. But life has a way of changing things.

The secretary was still replying to Althea, “Mr. Taylor is in a meeting; you might have to wait a bit.”

Althea settled herself on the adjacent couch, retorting, “Do you realize how precious my time is? Making me wait—can you even afford the loss this causes me?”

Drusilla was taken aback; Althea used to be so timid, and now here she was, holding her ground against Enoch.

Althea was now a celebrity, having starred in a few series that did quite well, boosting her popularity significantly.

Success does change people; she seemed almost unrecognizable compared to her former self.

Drusilla chose not to greet her first.

However, it didn’t take long for Althea to notice her.
