Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 97

Enoch glanced at Drusilla, "Since you've put it that way, why don't you just move into my place from now on?"

Drusilla was taken aback, "Why bring this up all of a sudden?"

"If we're not living together, how can I prove to you that I'm normal?"

Drusilla chuckled and offered a friendly reminder, "Mr. Taylor, we're in a sham marriage."

Was he hinting at something more by saying those words?

"A sham marriage is still a marriage. Or did you think being married to me exempts you from, shall we say, marital duties?"

"And what if I refuse?" Drusilla asked.

"Then we'll just annul this arrangement and let the Lawson family face bankruptcy," he replied nonchalantly, sipping his water with an air of indifference.

As if he meant every word.

Drusilla cleared her throat, realizing how grudge-holding this man could be.

A couple of teasing remarks, and he was taking it to heart.

"Mr. Taylor, I apologize for my earlier behavior. I won't make such jokes anymore. Can we let bygones be bygones, please?" Drusilla pleaded.

Enoch raised an eyebrow. He said after observing Drusilla's hesitance, "Playing hard to get, are we? I made that offer because I think highly of you, and I thought you'd be flattered by my offer. Maybe your earlier teasing was just a way to seduce me."

Drusilla was speechless.

Flattered, my foot!
