When they got to her house in Parkview Estates, Sebastian said, “Excuse me, could I use your restroom?”
Aveline quickly said, “Of course, Mr. Harmon, please come in.”
So the two of them entered the front yard of the villa. A black Bentley was parked in the driveway; it seemed Xavier was already back.
On the steps by the front door, Charles was standing there. He said to Aveline, “Ma’am, the master said you were back and told me to come out and open the door for you.”
As he spoke, Charles sized up Sebastian.
Aveline gave a faint “Mm,” and invited Sebastian inside.
In the living room, Xavier was sitting on an armchair, directly facing the front door. His dark eyes watched coolly as Aveline and Sebastian walked in together.

Sebastian said, “Mr. Beltran, may I use your restroom?”
Xavier sat still, a faint smile on his face. “Be my guest.”
Aveline didn’t understand why Xavier insisted on coming to Parkview Estates. She looked away coldly, not wanting to see him.
She showed Sebastian to the first–floor restroom.
Helena came out of the dining room and asked Aveline, “Ma’am, the master asked me to make some Hangover–Relief Broth. Let me get you a bowl.”
Aveline said flatly, “No, I don’t need any, thank you.”
Back at Winslow Heights, she was always the one who made Hangover–Relief Broth for Xavier. Now she wouldn’t, so he could only ask Helena.
Sebastian came out of the restroom, and Aveline walked him to the door,
Xavier was still sitting on the sofa, looking at his phone. Hearing the movement, he looked up.
“Mr. Harmon, want a bowl of Hangover–Relief Broth before you go?”
Sebastian replied, “Thanks, Mr. Beltran, but I never touch the stuff. I’m leaving.”
At the foyer, Sebastian said to Aveline, “So, are we set for the morning run tomorrow?”
Aveline nodded. “We’re set. I’ll text you tomorrow.”

“Okay, good night.”
Aveline said good night too, but she still waited until Sebastian was in his car before she went back inside.
Xavier was still in the living room, but now he was holding a bowl of Hangover–Relief Broth and drinking it. Seeing her come in, he said, “You’re not having any?”
Aveline was cold. She didn’t answer him and walked straight to the stairs.
Xavier didn’t seem to mind. He asked again, “You’ve been drinking and you’re going to bed so late. Can you still get up early for a run tomorrow?”
It seemed he had overheard what Sebastian said to her, but Aveline still ignored him and went straight upstairs.
Xavier chuckled and continued to drink his Hangover–Relief Broth.
Charles saw and heard everything clearly from the dining room doorway. Then she returned to the dining room, took out her phone, and reported to Lauren.
Lauren replied: [That Mr. Harmon, is his name Sebastian?]
Charles: [I don’t know. I only heard the madam and the master both call him Mr. Harmon.]
Lauren: [The master saw Aveline bring a man home. Wasn’t he angry?]
Charles thought for a moment. [I couldn’t tell if the master was angry or not.]
[The master took the initiative to show concern for the madam, told her to drink the Hangover–Relief Broth, and said that since she’d been drinking and was sleeping late, she shouldn’t get up early to run with that Mr. Harmon. The madam was very cold, ignored the master, and just went upstairs.]
Lauren: [I’m so furious. How dare Aveline treat my son like that.]
[There’s definitely something going on between her and Sebastian. You keep a close eye on them. This time, she couldn’t have Sebastian stay the night because the master was home. Next time, she might.]
