Urging Him to Get a Divorce novel Chapter 13

When they grow tired, they found an empty table to sit at. Jasmine pulled out her phone and posted several night market photos she’d taken earlier to Instagram.

Aveline also postest a photo of a panoramic shot of the night market on Instagram.

Hor caption read: In Mount Ardwood Night Market, great food, fun vibes, beautiful views.

She rarely posted on Instagram, so as soon as the post went up, many friends commented and liked it.

Some of them joked, Lol, you only hit post on Instagram when there’s good food, fun, and nice scenery,

I heard Mount Ardwood is developing really well now. The night market’s got all kinds of food from home and abroad. I’m gonna plan a trip there soon.

Ava, where are your photos? Even a cute couple pic would work.

Jasmine replied to that comment, Want a cute pic of Ava and me instead?

A mutual friend, who only knew Aveline and Xavier were engaged, not that they’d actually married, commented, Did you go with Xavier? Why didn’t you two take a photo together?

Aveline glanced at it, ignored it, and swiped down.

There were so many comments.

Even one of her clients remarked, Ms. Sutton, you’re living a super chill life.

Vivian commented too, I’ve been to so many night markets, but Mount Ardwood Night Market impresses me the most.

Then Aveline saw Sebastian’s comment. It was short, just two words: Nice photography.

Aveline was quite moved.

As an outstanding designer, Aveline had an excellent eye for aesthetics, which meant her photography skills were bound to be impressive as well.

Back in high school, she’d even won a top prize in a renowned photography magazine’s contest,

Her panoramic shot of the night market was indeed welltaken, but only Sebastian had praised the photography itself.

It meant something to her to have someone acknowledge this side of her professionalism. Aveline felt a flicker of pride.

She replied to Sebastian, Thank you, Mr. Harmon.

Soon after, Fiona left a message under that exchange, Mr. Harmon? He’s my cousin. So he’s also your friend. Just call him Seb.

Aveline smiled and brushed it off. She figured Fiona had probably had a few too many drinks.

After eating and drinking their fill, Aveline checked the time. It was nearly ten o’clock, and they had to get up early the next day, so she and Jasmine headed back to the hotel.

As they reached the hotel entrance, fireworks burst over the backyard.

They were gorgeous, dazzling, and obviously costly.

Jasmine looked up, clicking her tongue. They’re pretty, but this is just a secondtier advertisement. Is it really necessary to waste so much money on putting on a show?

Aveline pressed her lips together and said nothing.

Josephine craved not just vanity, but also Xavier’s favor.

And Xavier gave her both, not just with money, but with outright indulgence.

Jasmine went on, I saw someone online say the chef at the Beltran Hotel’s backyard bakery makes amazing cupcakes. I know you love cupcakes. Let’s go try them.

Aveline had tried those cupcakes when she visited last year, and they were indeed the best she’d ever had.

She guessed Josephine’s celebration party was probably being held in the backyard, so she didn’t want to go over there. But seeing how excited Jasmine was, she nodded anyway.

Besides, she’d already made up her mind to end things with Xavier. Instead of avoiding him, she might as well face it headon. There was no need for all this deliberate pretense.

When they walked into the backyard, sure enough, a party was underway. There were around a dozen people, and the atmosphere was lively.

Jasmine stopped short, turning to Aveline. Maybe we should come next time?

Aveline’s voice was calm. Why? Since we want to try those cupcakes, let’s do it.

As she spoke, she walked toward the cupcake stall.
