After speaking in a flat tone, Xavier tossed the cup onto the sofa, turned, opened the door, and walked out.

Aveline stood still, trying to figure out what he meant.

“Looks like even if we get the security footage from the Beltran Hotel, we won’t find any solid evidence. That’s why he’s so bold about it.”

But she didn’t care. Her goal was a divorce, not to publicly shame him and Josephine.

Aveline walked out of the living room. Xavier had probably gone back to his bedroom, but Helena was standing nearby, watching her.

Aveline walked over to her. Helena asked cautiously, “Ma’am, are you alright?”

Aveline’s heart warmed. She knew Helena was only standing there waiting for her because she was worried.
