The next day, the more Aveline thought about it, the more something felt wrong. She called Fiona and asked if there was any news from the court.
Fiona said, “It won’t be that fast. They don’t just grant divorces so easily these days. That’s why so many people are suing in court, and who knows how long the waitlist is.”
Aveline said, “I just feel like Xavier has this attitude that it’s useless for me to sue, and it makes me uneasy.”
Fiona replied, “If there’s no news this week, I’ll ask next week.”
Aveline asked again, “What about my lawsuit against Eileen?”
Fiona replied, “It’s been accepted. Just wait for the court date notice.”
“But, based on the surveillance video, they’ll probably lean towards mediation.”
“Aveline, why don’t we summon Josephine, Vincent, and Katie as witnesses? No matter what, it would be good to give them some trouble.”
“Katie personally heard Josephine tell Eileen to trip you and hurt you.”
Aveline replied, “Fine. Even if we can’t get them sentenced, it’s good to give them some trouble.”
Dylan walked into the conference room, happened to hear that sentence, and glanced at Aveline.
Aveline saw him out of the corner of her eye and told Fiona she was hanging up.
Dylan walked over to Aveline, pulled out a chair, and was about to sit next to her.
Aveline’s face darkened slightly. Just as she was about to speak, Jasmine happened to walk over with two cups of cof- fee and said:
“Dylan, move aside. This is my seat.”
Dylan retorted, “Does it have your name on it?”
“I’m also a builder for this project. I’ll sit wherever I want.”
Aveline gestured for Jasmine not to argue with him. She stood up, gathered her things from the table, and went to sit on the other side with Jasmine.
Dylan was displeased. “Aveline, when you’re working on the design, shouldn’t you be discussing it with me too?”
Aveline gave him a cold look, then looked away, ignoring him.
What kind of skill level did he have? Discussing things with him was a complete waste of time and energy.

Chapter 355
Besides, she was the lead architect. He was so disrespectful, yet he expected her to respect him.
Jasmine sipped her coffee, her eyes on Dylan, a smirk on her face.
Dylan knew it was a look of contempt and got angry. “Mr. Beltran personally recruited me for this project.”
Jasmine laughed. “Of course. Without Mr. Beltran, you might not have even gotten in.”
The implication was that he, Dylan, had gotten in through connections, not on his own merit.
Just then, Simon walked into the conference room, so Dylan said to him, “Mr. Barron, they’re not discussing the con- struction with me. This isn’t good for the project’s progress.”
Simon was taken aback and looked toward Aveline.
After all, Dylan was Mr. Beltran’s guy, and Simon really didn’t want to get on the wrong side of him.
Aveline knew Simon was in a tough spot and said, “When I’m designing, I don’t like my train of thought being inter- rupted by outsiders I don’t know. If he thinks he has some good ideas, how about this…”
“He can also create a design concept, and the can choose which one they want.”
