Aveline caught up with her maternal grandparents and told them Xavier was here.

The two elders were surprised. Paulina said, “Then let’s head back.”

Aveline replied, “That’s okay, we’ll go back after our walk.”

Collin said, “Now that you’re divorcing him, we can’t just treat him like one of the family and ignore him in our house.”

“Let’s go back. He must be here for a reason.”

Aveline had no choice but to listen to Collin, and the three of them headed back.

Collin and Paulina exchanged a look, surprised that even though Aveline was divorcing him, Xavier was still calling them Grandpa and Grandma with such a friendly face.

Collin nodded and said, “You’re here. Have a seat.”

Paulina didn’t know what to say, so she casually asked, “Have you had dinner yet?”

Xavier stood and replied to her, “I came straight here after getting off the plane. I haven’t eaten dinner yet.”

Paulina was taken aback. With him saying that, she couldn’t just turn him away hungry, so she said:

“You haven’t eaten this late? Don’t mess up your stomach.

What would you like to eat? I’ll have Miranda make something for you.”

Xavier smiled, “Paulina still cares about me the most. In that case, could I trouble Miranda to make me a bowl of pas- ta?”

Aveline snapped, “Xavier, we’re getting a divorce. What are you pretending for? Just leave and go back to your own home.”

Xavier looked at her. “But we’re not divorced yet.”

Aveline said with a cold face, “We’re in the middle of a divorce lawsuit.”

Xavier was still nonchalant. “But we haven’t started yet.”

Collin said helplessly, “Alright, alright. Miranda, go make a bowl of pasta for Xavier.”

Miranda acknowledged and left.

Aveline shot Xavier a cold glare, then told her maternal grandparents to go change their clothes and wash their hands,

Collin said to Xavier, “You sit. We’re going to wash our hands and change.”

Aveline’s lips curled into a sneer. She forwarded the screenshot from Marjorie’s Social Feed, sent by Jasmine, to Xavier.

“Xavier, that other woman of yours is very clever. She knows my friend is a WhatsApp contact of her good friend, and she can’t hide her need to show off. She keeps trying to provoke me, but unfortunately for her, I don’t care any- more.”

“Before you act all fake with me, can you first get that other woman of yours under control? Otherwise, you just look ridiculous.”

Xavier frowned slightly. “What are you talking about?

There is no other woman. Stop creating imaginary enemies.”

Aveline looked at him coldly.

He took out his phone to look at the screenshot she had sent, and his dark eyes narrowed. “What is this?”

“Isn’t this what Marjorie posted last time? It was a misunderstanding. I already told her to delete it and to post a public clarification statement.”
