Then she unlocked the phone and blocked Josephine’s number.
She then checked WhatsApp; Josephine was still on the blocklist.
She deleted Josephine.
Then she opened Gerald’s chat on WhatsApp and saw the message he’d sent to Xavier.
Aveline heard Xavier come out of the bathroom, and without missing a beat, she forwarded the message Gerald had sent him to her own phone.
This was one piece of evidence that Xavier had bought a painting for Josephine.
Xavier only had a bath towel wrapped around his waist, and he was drying his hair with another towel as he looked at her.
“Who called?”
Aveline said coldly, “I blocked them.”
Xavier chuckled, not seeming to care. He knew if she blocked someone, it had to be Josephine.
“Fine, as long as you’re happy.”
Aveline tossed her phone onto the sofa and faced him. “I’m not happy. I’ll be happy when you get out of here.”
“I’ve already forwarded the proof that you bought a painting for Josephine to my phone.”
“You’re the one who told me to look at your phone. It’s not like I was snooping.”
While drying his hair, Xavier looked at her with his calm, dark eyes and said lightly, “You can look at whatever you want. Forward any message you like.”
“Since you saw the message from Gerald, you should know that Josephine asked me to buy it as a birthday gift for your dad.”
Aveline laughed. “A scumbag like Jacob… if he didn’t have a daughter like Josephine, would you even care about his birthday gift?”
“What do you mean she ‘asked you to buy it‘? You’re not actually going to ask Josephine for the money, are you?”
Xavier tossed the towel onto the arm of the sofa and looked at Aveline.
“No, I won’t ask her for the money, but you know why.”
Aveline replied coldly, “I don’t know, and I don’t want to know.

Chapter 362
Your suitcase is in the guest room. You can get the hell out of my bedroom now.”
Xavier moved, but it was toward Aveline.
Aveline frowned slightly and backed away, but as she retreated, Xavier closed in.
Seeing she was about to back into the bed, Aveline said sharply, “If you come any closer, I’ll really kick you.”
She didn’t want to get physical with him at Collin and Paulina’s house.
But Xavier backed her all the way to the edge of the bed before stopping. He reached over, opened the nightstand drawer, and took out a hairdryer.
Then he plugged it in and stood by the nightstand, drying his hair.
Aveline’s eyes were cold as she stared at his broad back, thinking, “Am I supposed to sleep in the guest room and leave my own bedroom to him?”
No way.
Tonight, she was going to kick him out of her bedroom no matter what.
It was a shame there wasn’t a broom in the house, otherwise…
Aveline thought of something and quickly walked out of the bedroom.
Xavier heard the noise and, while still drying his hair, glanced over at her. Seeing she had left the bedroom, his dark eyes narrowed slightly.
“She’s not actually giving me the bedroom, is she?”
As he said this, Xavier chuckled.
Aveline just talked tough; she wouldn’t actually make a scene.
She might hit him in private, but to do it at Collin and Paulina’s house? She would never.
But then, Aveline returned holding a clothes–drying pole, her eyes fixed on him coldly.
“Are you leaving or not?”
