“Damn it, Xavier! You really just left me here.”
“Where am I?”
In the car, Xavier said to Amy, “Back to the Beltran’s mansion.”
When Aveline received the photo of the Spit–Roasted Whole Lamb from Xavier, she just gave it a cold glance and ig-
nored him.
That evening, as she was getting ready for bed, Fiona sent her a message,
[Have you seen Leona’s Social Feed?]
Aveline replied to her, [No.
What’s wrong?]
Fiona: [Go look. Leona is so shameless, she actually dared to post it on her Social Feed.]
[Now all the rich and powerful people in the city think Xavier and Josie are a couple.]
Aveline thought Leona had posted something about Xavier and Josie, but when she clicked on it, she saw it was two photos.
The first photo was of a lavish spread on a dining table, including a Spit–Roasted Whole Lamb. The second one also seemed to be of the table, but Xavier and Josie were in the shot. The two of them were sitting together; Josie was smiling a little shyly, while Xavier looked indifferent, his eyes lowered to his phone.
The caption read: [A lavish dinner, a pleasant evening.]
Aveline didn’t know Leona’s rich and powerful friends and naturally wasn’t friends with them, so she didn’t know how they were commenting on these two photos.
The people Aveline knew, who were her friends, should all know about her relationship with Xavier, so no one liked or commented on the post.
Aveline replied to Fiona with a calm expression, [I saw it. If you think it’s evidence, then save it.]
Fiona: [I already saved it.]
[Damn it, Ava, you know there are a few people I have on WhatsApp. Some of them asked Leona if Josie is that fe- male director Xavier is heavily promoting, and that she’s really beautiful.]
[Someone asked if they’re a couple, and if wedding bells are near.]

Chapter 375
Aveline asked: [So how did Leona reply?]
Fiona: [You saw it too. She definitely wouldn’t dare to answer, since you and Xavier aren’t divorced yet.]
[Are you okay?]
Aveline replied to her, [I’m fine. It’s not the first time I’ve seen them together.]
“I’m going to sleep now. Good night.”
But before she went to sleep, she took a screenshot of Leona’s post and sent it to Xavier,
“Mr. Beltran’s photo was too blurry, you couldn’t even see the people. Ms. Beltran’s two photos are the clearest.”

“Such a lavish dinner, such a pleasant evening, and Mr. Beltran even went to the trouble of taking a picture for me, mocking me for missing out. How thoughtful of him.”
Then, Aveline silenced her phone, placed it on the nightstand, turned off the light, and went to sleep.
Xavier’s phone received the message just as he entered the Beltran’s mansion.
In the living room, Rupert and Lauren were still awake, waiting for him because Xavier had said he was coming back to the mansion.
Xavier didn’t rush to check the message. He asked, “Why are you both still up? Waiting for me?”
Rupert glanced behind Xavier, didn’t see Aveline, and asked, “Where’s Aveline? Didn’t she come back with you?”
Xavier walked to the long sofa and sat down, saying calmly, “I never said she was coming back with me.”
“She’s at Garden Estate.”
“Then what’s this about her having your suitcase sent over by courier?”
“Did you spend the night at Garden Estate last night?”
Xavier replied flatly, “Mhm.”
“Did you two fight again? Did she kick you out and send you back here?”
Lauren couldn’t listen anymore. “Dad, can you not blame Xavier every time? Aveline has her faults too. In fact, she’s the biggest problem.”
Then she changed the subject. “Did you have a good dinner at Leona’s? Should I get you a late–night snack?”
