Chapter 412
Amy was surprised. “Mr. Beltran, you didn’t sleep at all last night. Let me take you home to get
some rest.
“I’m fine. Just go find him. I have something to ask him.”
“How about I give him a call?”
“I want to ask him to his face.”
“We don’t know if he’s home. Should I call and ask where he is?”
“Let’s just go over there first. If we call, he might run off.”
So Amy drove toward the residential complex where Bryan lived.
The black Bentley stopped in front of the building entrance, and Amy said, “Mr. Beltran, I can go up and get him.”
But Xavier opened the door and got out. “We’ll go up and find him.’

As he got out, he caught a glimpse of a familiar-looking black van in his peripheral vision. He looked over, but the vehicle was already driving away, and he couldn’t make out the license plate.
Amy got out too and locked the car. “Mr. Beltran, he’s on the third floor. This building only has five floors, so there’s no elevator.”
Xavier walked into the building. “Then we’ll take the stairs. It’s good exercise.”
When they reached Bryan’s front door, Amy rang the doorbell.
They heard footsteps approaching the door from inside. Someone came close, but didn’t open the door right away, probably after looking through the peephole and seeing who was outside.
Xavier gave Amy a cold glance.
Amy got the hint and said, “Bryan, why aren’t you opening the door? Mr. Beltran came all the way to your doorstep himself.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the door opened. Bryan stood inside, laughing uncomfortably. “I was just shocked that Mr. Beltran suddenly showed up. I didn’t know how to react.”

“Mr. Beltran, please, come in, come in.”
“But my place is a mess, please excuse it.
Xavier gave him a cold look and walked in.

The living room was indeed a mess. The coffee table was covered with takeout boxes and bags, and the sofa was piled high with clothes and blankets.
Xavier also caught a faint musty smell, which made him frown slightly.
“You’ve taken a lot of money from me, haven’t you? Why not hire someone to clean this place up?”
Bryan brought a chair over. “Mr. Beltran, please have a seat.”
“That’s a good suggestion, Mr. Beltran. I’ll go make the arrangements tomorrow.”
Xavier glanced at the chair. It wasn’t clean. He didn’t sit, just stared coldly at Bryan.
Bryan flinched. “Mr. Beltran, I-I’ll go get a cloth and wipe it clean.”
“Don’t bother. I’ll leave after asking you a few questions.”
“Okay, Mr. Beltran. G-go ahead.”
Xavier’s dark eyes were cold and sharp as he looked at him and asked, “The night before last, did Leona take you to see Josephine?”
Bryan froze, not expecting Xavier to ask him about that.
He thought Xavier was going to ask him again, in detail, who he saw rescue him on the day of the accident.
So, this question… should he tell the truth?
Xavier saw Bryan hesitating and said coldly, “If you dare lie to me again and I find out, believe me, I’ll tear your lying mouth right off your face.”
Bryan quickly replied, “Mr. Beltran, I was in the car at the time, I didn’t know the Heiress…”
“You still dare to lie to me.”
As he spoke, Xavier kicked out at him.
Bryan immediately cried out “Ah!” and fell to the floor.
