Urging Him to Get a Divorce novel Chapter 501

Chapter 501

A little after ten o’clock, a black Bentley arrived at the entrance of the Beltran Hotel. Xavier got out, his expression cool, and strode into the hotel on his long legs. Tall and handsome, he drew the attention of everyone in the lobby.

He got into the elevator and went directly to the conference room floor.

When he walked into the small conference room, the sound of his footsteps made Aveline, Jasmine, and Simon look toward the door, and upon seeing it was him, Simon quickly rose to greet him.

Aveline coldly looked away, lowering her head to get back to her work.

Xavier glanced at her, gave Simon a nod, and then walked over to Aveline’s side to look at her

computer.

Aveline ignored him, continuing to sketch on the paper with her pen.

Xavier glanced at the drawing, reached out to press the Enter key on the computer, and the screen lit up, requiring a password to unlock.

Aveline frowned slightly. What are you doing?

Jasmine also watched Xavier curiously, wondering why he’d just go and touch Aveline’s computer without a word.

Xavier said, Enter your password. I want to see how your concept drawings are coming along.

Aveline said coldly, Mr. Beltran, what’s the rush? When I’m done, I’ll show it to you. You’re the big boss, it needs your approval anyway.

Xavier just smiled without saying anything and started typing in the password himself, figuring it was better than wasting his breath when she wouldn’t let him look anyway.

The computer screen unlocked, revealing the concept art.

Jasmine was surprised. Xavier actually knew Aveline’s computer password.

Did he just guess it right?

She looked over at Aveline.

Aveline frowned slightly and looked up, glaring at Xavier.

Xavier stared at the amusement park concept art displayed on the computer.

Just as he thought, Aveline’s was much better than Dylan’s. Not only was the artistry superior, but the overall concept was flawless.

Dylan’s looked similar, but it was just a clumsy imitation, like a child trying to copy an adult’s drawing.

Xavier looked down at Aveline and smiled. This looks perfect already. Why did you say it wasn’t finished?

Aveline snapped, You’re not an architect. What the hell do you know?

Xavier: .

Alright, he wasn’t a professional. Maybe some details weren’t good enough, and he couldn’t see them.

But she was his wife. She was showing him zero respect.

Even if she weren’t his wife, what lead architect he’d hired for a fortune would dare talk back to him, the big boss client, like that?

Simon felt awkward too and cleared his throat. Mr. Beltran, would you like something to drink?

Coffee?

Xavier nodded yes, then he crouched down to look at Aveline’s left ankle.

Seeing him do that, Aveline frowned. She wanted to move her foot away, but she didn’t dare, afraid any movement would pull at the injury and hurt.

She kept quiet, thinking Xavier would just take a quick look. Who knew the guy would actually touch it gently and say:

The swelling is mostly gone.

Does it still hurt?

Aveline didn’t say anything.

When she didn’t answer, Xavier looked up at her, only to see Aveline completely ignoring him and continuing with her drawing.

Xavier stood up, exasperated, and asked, Where’s Dylan?
