Xavier nodded and walked inside. Then he saw Aveline’s phone on the living room coffee table. At that moment, the phone was vibrating.

He picked it up and saw the caller ID was a number, not a name, and the number looked like it was from a landline.

The phone screen also showed several missed calls.

“What are you doing with my phone?”

Aveline came downstairs, wearing pajamas with a cardigan over them–not clothes for going out.

Xavier asked, “Aren’t you planning to go to the hospital to see her?”
