Ryan also sent a message to Xavier, saying the tickets were booked on the same flight as Aveline and Fiona; there were two seats left in first class.
After lunch, at twelve–thirty, they left the house.
Aveline, of course, wouldn’t get in Xavier’s car and rode with Fiona instead. So, two cars left Garden Estate and headed for the airport.
On the way, Aveline told Fiona about Dylan and pulled out her phone to look it up online.
Fiona frowned, “If we can confirm Dylan is behind this, the can sue him.”
“But, would Xavier be willing to?”
Aveline smirked, “He did say he’d do whatever I tell him to.”
Fiona smiled, “This will definitely affect the. If he doesn’t clear things up and handle it properly, Dylan will just sling more mud. It’s not just your reputation at stake, it’s also the’s amusement park project.”
“If Dylan claims the design concept for the amusement park is his, that’ll be a huge problem. This is a project the whole world is watching.”
Aveline read the online reports and comments, then scoffed. “That report didn’t mention Dylan’s identity. People online are saying Xavier only helped me because of Josephine, since I’m her half- sister.”
Fiona snorted. “Josephine must have put Dylan up to this, and she’s still trying to make herself look good.”
Then she offered some advice. “I think you should stay out of this. Let Xavier have his legal and PR teams handle it. First, issue a clarification statement making it clear that Dylan stole your design concept. If he wants to fight it, he can take it to court.”
“Xavier can also pressure the media to retract the article. Since it’s false, he can sue the media outlet and the person who leaked it.”
“You just stay out of the spotlight. Treat this whole thing as a PR matter for the and let them handle it.”

Aveline agreed. “I think Josephine and Courtney are doing this to provoke me into making a statement. I’m not going to fall for their trap.”
Then she summarized Fiona’s advice and texted Xavier.
The black Bentley followed behind Fiona’s car. Xavier got the text and replied to Aveline,
[Got it. I’ll have Ryan draft a statement. We’ll release it once you’ve looked it over and are satisfied.]
When they got to the airport, Aveline and Fiona walked into the terminal. Seeing Xavier and Amy following them, Fiona couldn’t help but turn back and ask,
“Xavier, don’t tell me you’re on the same flight as us.
Xavier said calmly, “I don’t know what flight you’re on. Why don’t you tell me, and we’ll see if it’s the same one.”
Fiona scoffed. “Hearing you say that, I’m guessing it is the same flight.”
Xavier smiled. “Well, isn’t that great? Weren’t you the one who said I was afraid to fly alone?”
“You need to let me sit with my wife later. Otherwise, I won’t be able to relax.”
Fiona shot back, “After everything you’ve done to your wife, you deserve to be scared to death.”
Xavier: ”
He glanced at Aveline’s back. She kept walking straight ahead without turning, as if she hadn’t heard them talking.
Only someone as hot–headed as Fiona would feel the need to chew him out. Aveline, on the other hand, planned to give him the cold shoulder indefinitely, not even sparing him a glance or a word unless absolutely necessary.
After they passed through security, Xavier received a message from Ryan and said to Aveline, “The statement’s ready. I’ll send it over for you to look at. If there are no problems, we’ll release it.”
Aveline remained silent. She heard the phone’s notification but didn’t look at it, waiting until she was seated at the gate to take it out and read.
Fiona sat to Aveline’s right, so Xavier sat down on her left.
Aveline noticed him out of the corner of her eye and shot him a cold look. He just smiled slightly. “I’m waiting for your reply.”
