Chapter 570
“This opportunity came up, so that person told Mr. Wen you wanted to attend The Blossom Gala, and he agreed to take you as his date.”
“Mr. Wen got divorced two years ago and is single now, so if you go with him, people won’t talk.”
The thought of walking into the banquet with a bald, middle–aged man made Josephine uncomfortable.
“Mom, if I walk into the banquet with him, won’t people get the wrong idea?”
“I’m old enough to be his daughter.”
Courtney replied, “Mr. Wen is single. What misunderstanding are you afraid of?
You’re just his date for tonight. After tonight, you’ll go your separate ways. It’s nothing.”
Josephine figured since she was already here, she couldn’t just not go to the banquet. She had to swallow her pride.
She asked, “So where am I staying tonight?”
“If I stay in Mr. Wen’s presidential suite, will he get the wrong idea that I’m interested in him?”
“If other people see it, they’ll get the wrong idea too, right?”
Courtney replied, “Are you stupid? Can’t you just get another room?”
Josephine agreed, “Alright then.”
Just then, there was a knock on the bedroom door, followed by Secretary Curtis’s voice, “Ms. Sutton, are you ready? Do you need any help?”
Josephine hung up the phone, walked over, and opened the door. “Secretary Curtis, I’d appreciate the help.”
Richard had been worried Josephine would resist, so when she willingly let him in to help her get ready, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Alfred’s birthday party, and she felt a wave of disgust.
It seemed Mr. Wen wanted her to dress up like a socialite again
Damn it, what did that man take her for?
Josephine could only suppress her disgust and pick one that looked acceptable.

While picking out jewelry, she heard Secretary Curtis say that Mr. Wen said whichever set she chose would be a gift to her, and she instantly cheered up.
When Xavier went to ring the doorbell, Sebastian was the one who opened the door. Xavier’s expression immediately turned cold. “Mr. Harmon, you’re early.”
“Shouldn’t you be at the banquet greeting guests first?”
Sebastian smiled. “Mr. Beltran, which of the two ladies do you think would be willing to walk into the banquet arm–in–arm with you?”
Xavier’s face stiffened.
Indeed, neither Aveline nor Fiona would likely be willing to go with him.
Xavier said coolly, “My wife, of course.”
Sebastian asked him, “Oh? Has Mr. Beltran made it public?”
Xavier didn’t say anything. He walked inside, sat down on the living room sofa, and waited for the two ladies to finish getting ready.
Sebastian sat across from him while the butler poured them tea.
Sebastian watched Xavier pick up his teacup and drink, a slight smile playing on his lips. “Later at the banquet, Mr. Beltran, how would you like me to introduce Aveline? As the lead landscape architect for The Luohua Six Peaks Resort, or the lead architect for the Mount Ardwood Theme Park?”
Xavier said flatly, “Can’t you just introduce her as both?”
Sebastian replied, “I think I’d better ask Aveline what she thinks.”
Amy came in, leaned close to Xavier, and whispered, “Mr. Beltran, Mr. Wen from the Wenya Group is staying upstairs.”
Xavier glanced at her, then looked toward Sebastian. “Mr. Wen is staying in the presidential suite upstairs?”
