“I’m the one sitting across from you.”
Hearing this, Eric felt she was indeed just fooling herself, so she took off her sunglasses and mask.
Xavier noticed her face was a bit haggard, with heavy dark circles under her eyes. He couldn’t tell if she was worried about her parents‘ health or just anxious about meeting him today.
Xavier said calmly, “Order something to drink.”
Eric said, “I’ll just have a coffee.”
So Cameron went to place the order, while Melissa left the cafe to stand guard outside.
Eric looked at Xavier and said, “It’s been over two years, Mr. Beltran. You’re still so young and
handsome.
“How are things between you and the Ms. Sutton who saved you?”
Xavier’s dark eyes looked at her coolly. “Which Ms. Sutton do you think saved me?”
Eric felt that although Xavier’s gaze seemed casual, it was like a sharp knife that could pierce right through her thoughts.
She said uncomfortably, “I’m talking about Isabella. Wasn’t it said back then that Isabella was the one who saved you?”
Xavier said calmly, “Haven’t you been following our story?
Even in the UK, you can find news about me and Aveline just by going online, can’t you?”
Eric felt that although Xavier’s tone was calm, it carried an oppressive aura. As expected, dealing with someone in power felt like facing an insurmountable mountain.
She stammered a little, “I, uh, after I went to the UK, I didn’t really pay much attention to news from back home.”
“But when your people came to find me, I did a search online. Isabella is now the lead architect for the’s Mount Ardwood Theme Park.”

Chapter 620
“I never expected Isabella to be so capable and talented, an architect of all things.”
“But I didn’t see any news about you two getting married.”

Xavier wasn’t about to tell her that he and Aveline already had a marriage certificate. In his eyes, Eric was an enemy, not a friend.
He said calmly, “We’re doing great.”
Eric thought Xavier meant he and Aveline were still a couple, and replied,
“That’s good. You’re very devoted, Mr. Beltran.”
Xavier said, “She’s the only woman I’ve ever loved.”
Eric was stunned for a moment, then smiled. “You’re truly faithful, Mr. Beltran.”
“Actually, back at the hospital, the way I saw you look at Isabella, I just knew you must have loved her very much.”
Xavier said coolly, “Is that so? Then why did you tell me Josephine was the one who saved my life?”
Eric looked uncomfortable, her gaze shifting away for a second. “Because Josephine donated blood for you.”
Xavier stared at her. “Really?”
Just then, the waiter brought their coffee. Xavier looked away, and Eric let out a sigh of relief.
After the waiter left, Xavier stared at her again. Seeing her take a couple of sips of coffee, he said flatly,
“Tell me what you know. And about the photos. Let’s see if it’s really worth twenty million.”
Eric instinctively clutched her purse, as if worried Xavier would have his men snatch it from her. “Mr. Beltran, what if I tell you everything and give you the photos, and then you don’t pay me?” Xavier laughed. “Are you telling me I have to transfer twenty million to you before you’ll talk?” Eric replied, “I’m just a nobody. I wouldn’t dare try to fool you. You could crush me like an ant.”
“Besides, I know you can easily transfer twenty million to me, even in the UK.”
