Aveline looked up and saw the black Bentley parked not far away, but the windows were closed, so she couldn’t see inside.

She said coldly, “There’s no need. I’ve called for a designated driver service.”

Josephine was definitely in the car. Was she supposed to get in and watch him and Josephine be all lovey–dovey?

The driver said, troubled, “Mr. Beltran said that a designated driver service isn’t safe either.”

Aveline laughed, “Amy Morgan, go back and tell him this for me: Xavier, are you on something? You’re actually worried about my safety now? I’ve been using designated driver services for years.”

Josephine chuckled. “Yeah, I never realized my sister was so charming. Mr. Harmon admires her, Mr. Clarke admires her, and that senior, Julian, probably likes her too.

I heard that Julian had a crush on my sister back in college.”

Xavier chuckled but didn’t say anything.

Josephine didn’t need him to say anything, as long as he took it to heart.

For the next half–month, Aveline, Jasmine, and Julian threw themselves into refining the landscape design for The Luohua Six Peaks Resort. As for moving to Parkview Estates, she planned to do it after submitting the design draw- ings for this project.

Neither Xavier nor the Zimmerman family called or texted her. Amid her busy schedule, she felt a sense of peace.
