Chapter 150 Where’s Your Ring Then?
Kaia pressed her lips together and flashed an awkward smile. “Yeah, I just got married too. My husband and I registered our marriage not long ago.”
Caught between the risk of offending Jude or Lucien, Kaia decided she would have to disappoint Jude this time.

Meanwhile, in another private dining room, Calvin tugged at his tie, visibly annoyed. “Where the hell is Lucien? Didn’t he say he’d be here in ten minutes to get me out of this?”
Landon let out a sharp sneer.
Lucien almost got cheated on and you think he’s still coming to
rescue you?
Calvin snapped, “Hey, I’m talking to you, Landon. What’s that smirk supposed to mean?”
Landon rolled his eyes. “Ask him yourself. Why are you asking me? The only thing I know is that he rushed out like a madman just now.” As far as he was concerned, Calvin could deal with the fallout on his own.
“Ugh, what a complete waste of my evening. I’m done. Have fun

reliving your first blind date.”
Landon got up and left without looking back.
Calvin stared after him in silence and then pulled out his phone. But the call barely rang once before it went straight to a busy
tone.
What the hell? He hung up on me?

Lucien of course had no time to answer Calvin’s call. He had tossed his phone into the backseat and was now leaning over Kaia, his body pressing against hers. His lips, dry yet cool, slowly grazed over hers, unhurried but possessive.
At first, Kaia tried to resist, but the warmth of Lucien’s breath caused her to instinctively part her lips. That slight movement ignited a fire in his eyes, and his kiss became deeper, rougher,
more urgent.
When her phone started vibrating inside her bag, she tried to push Lucien away. But in the next second, his hot hand caught her chin, holding her in place as he stole every bit of her breath.
The phone kept buzzing relentlessly, an insistent vibration that matched the rising heat in the car, making the air feel heavier with each passing second.

After the kiss, Lucien finally let go of Kaia, clearly reluctant. His eyes were still burning red as he said hoarsely, “Just answer the phone.”
Kaia’s lips were slightly parted as she caught her breath, and
the corners of her eyes were flushed. She glanced down and saw Jude’s name on the screen. Clearing her throat, she slowly picked up the call. “Hey, Jude.”
“Hey, Kaia,” Jude said. “Are you home yet?”
Kaia’s face flushed with embarrassment. “Yeah, I’m home.”
Jude pressed on, “I never got the chance to ask-when did you get married, and to whom? Marriage isn’t a game, Kaia. You can’t just go and marry some random guy to spite that jerk.
“Did your family even know? Don’t tell me you went behind their backs and did it in secret.”
Jude wasn’t actually mad that Kaia hadn’t told him. He just worried she’d married the wrong person. After all, that kind of mistake could haunt someone for the rest of their life.
With a mischievous smile, Lucien nipped at her earlobe, as if punishing her for going on a blind date earlier.
Kaia froze, holding her breath. “No,” she said carefully. “It wasn’t in secret. My dad knows.”

Jude let out a sigh. “Okay. As long as your husband treats you well.”
Right then, Kaia felt the lips pressed against her earlobe slowly trail downward. Her breath hitched, and her whole face turned crimson. She fought the urge to make a sound. “Yeah… he treats me well.”
“Alright,” Jude said. “That’s what matters. Let’s grab a meal sometime soon, yeah? I want to meet him.”
He was skeptical about the “good guy” story, especially with such a sudden marriage. He was already planning to assess the man when they met.
As soon as Kaia hung up, Lucien leaned in again, unable to resist stealing another kiss. Kaia, regaining her composure, pushed him away. “Stop it, Lucien.”
Lucien raised an eyebrow, his voice low and rough. “What’s wrong? Bold move for someone sneaking off on a blind date behind my back, isn’t it?”
Kaia tried to explain, “Jude was the one who put tonight’s dinner together. I had no idea. He mentioned my breakup to them before I got the chance, so I just left it at that. As for Mr. Marsh, this was my first time meeting him. I didn’t even know he’d be there.”
Lucien absentmindedly played with her fingers, asking, “And?

That’s it?”
Kaia furrowed her brow, trying to recall if she had missed anything, but she was pretty sure that was it.
Suddenly, Lucien tightened his grip on her hand, and his voice dropped dangerously low. “Where’s your ring then?”
Kaia froze, caught off guard. “What ring?”
Lucien stared at her. “What do you think, Mrs. Graves? I wear my wedding band every day. Where did you hide yours, huh?”
Kaia offered a weak defense. “We agreed not to go public yet, so I haven’t been wearing it…” Her voice grew quieter and quieter, and even she could hear how unconvincing it sounded.
Compared to Lucien, the CEO who never hesitated to wear his wedding band in public, she was the one sneaking around. She couldn’t help but feel that her explanation was weak at best.
While Kaia was lost in thought, she suddenly felt a gentle bite on her finger, followed by a low murmur in her ear. “I’ll let it slide this time. Do it again, and I won’t go easy on you.”

But just as he was basking in his pride, a call came in from
Lucien.

Tobias answered the call with a smile, saying, “Lucian, so good to hear from you. Is there something you need?”
He could hardly believe that the man everyone used to look up to had actually ended up as his daughter’s husband. He was grinning so hard his face hurt.
But then Lucien’s cold voice came through the receiver, dousing his mood like a bucket of ice water. “Mr. Tobias Domont, are you aware of what your daughter did to my wife?”
Tobias froze in disbelief.
My daughter?
Tobias nervously asked, “Are you saying Kimberly—”
Lucien cut in, “I don’t appreciate it when my wife keeps getting pushed around. I’m giving you a pass this time, but I won’t be so easygoing next time. I trust you’re intelligent enough to understand what matters… and what doesn’t.”
Tobias hadn’t expected Lucien to stay this cold, even after marrying Kaia. He hadn’t shown him the slightest courtesy.
Still, Tobias didn’t dare act offended. “Yes, you’re absolutely

right, Mr. Graves. I’ll make sure to set her straight when I get home. Don’t worry, everything I have will go to Kaia one day. She has always been the one I care about most.”
On the other end, Lucien offered nothing more than a silent, slight smile before cutting off the call.
Later that evening, Tobias went to the apartment, and the moment Kimberly opened the door, he slapped her hard across the face.
