“Come on, don’t be so polite with me. Don’t worry. Even if Sally’s connections run deep, they’re not deeper than yours. No judge would dare hand down a shady ruling.

“At the very least, we’ll get a fair one.”

Kaia wasn’t worried at all. She just thought ten years was too

little.

Her gaze turned razor sharp. “Do you know she tampered with my mother’s medication over twenty years ago?

“If she hadn’t, my mom wouldn’t have died so young.”
