He stepped on Jerry’s hand and ground it hard, as if trying to crush it.

A dagger rolled out of Jerry’s pocket.

Lucien picked it up with a sneer. “Honey, where do you think I can stab him and it’ll count as self–defense?”

Kaia walked over slowly, protecting her belly. “The ribs and the thighs.”

Without hesitation, Lucien stabbed Jerry in the ribs, then quickly pulled out the dagger and plunged it into his thigh.

The blood quickly soaked through Jerry’s clothes. Kaia placed a hand on Lucien’s shoulder. “That’s enough, honey.”

She didn’t want Lucien’s hands to get dirty.

The fury in Lucien’s eyes subsided a bit. Just then, the following cars caught up, including a police car.

“Vanessa found pictures of Luna at his place, which made Jerry take desperate measures. Everything’s over now. Jerry’s been arrested, but unfortunately, he won’t die.”

If Kaia hadn’t been there that day, Lucien might really have

killed him.

Kaia reassured him, “It’s okay. He’ll be punished by the law.”
