Chapter 53
We drove for about forty–five minutes and stopped in a port. A boat port.
“What’re we doing here?” I frowned.

“We’re here to meet Ze Voyage.” He doned that signature smile of his–the one that grated on my nerves–as he stepped out of the car.
I tried to open my door only to discover it was locked. Okay…
He strolled around to my own side of the door and opened it.
Seriously? Was he insane? Trying to play the gentleman when he was the complete opposite?
Stepping out of the car, he stroked my hair, as if straightening any roughness the drive might’ve caused.
I flinched away from his reach. “Are we boarding a boat?”
He nodded.
“Ze Voyage!?”
Another nod with a smile.
What the hell??
Ze Voyage was one of the biggest cruise boats in the country. It was a place people like me only saw through Instagram reels or high–def travel vlogs. Even the price of their cheapest cabin could bankrupt a dream.
Now, Void was bringing me to it?
Two uniformed men approached us.
“Welcome, sir. Ma’am.” They inclined their heads. “We’ll take your bags, please.”
Clicking a button on his car key, the boot opened and the men moved to it.
He packed bags? When did that even happen?
“Come on.” He reached for my hand and led us forward.
“Didn’t you think it was appropriate to ask my permission before bringing me here? What if I don’t want to be here?” I tried to inject enough attitude into my voice to make it sound like I wasn’t internally screaming with excitement.
Honestly, I was thrilled that I’d get to see Ze Voyage. It was just sad it had to be by him.
He didn’t even look at me as he responded. “Your opinion doesn’t factor into decisions like this, Rali. I’ll handle you however
I see fit.”
A scoff tore through my throat. “How long are we staying here?”
“Seventy–two hours.”
What!? That was three days!

Chapter 53
“When I told you I needed you till the weekend, I never said it’d be at my place,” he added with a smirk.
We finally reached the front of the boat, and God help me, my lungs forgot how to breathe.
It wasn’t just huge. It was colossal

Its chrome curves caught the sun with a golden trim that shimmered. The balcony was glass. Flags flapped at the top.
If the outside was this beautiful, what would the inside look like?
There were three men in suits, standing ahead and involved in a conversation. When they turned in our direction, I recognized one of them to be Igor Stanislav–the owner of Ze Voyage.
Surprisingly, he excused himself from the men, walking up to meet Void and I.
“Machai. I’ve been waiting.” He shook hands with Void.
My jaw dropped. Did he just call him Machai? He also seemed informal with him. Did they know each other?
“Igor. How pleasant it is to see you again.”
Void sounded… different.
Right now, he looked like one of those young CEOs who was out to do business. What the hell was going on?
Igor shifted his attention to me. “She looks lovely.”
Glancing at me, he smiled before slipping an arm around my shoulder. “I only go for the best.”
“Ah! That’s true. That’s true.” Igor chuckled. “Delighted to meet you, Miss…?”
“Zerali Hayes,” I finished with a small smile, taking his outstretched hand. “But you can call me Rali.”
“Zerali,” he repeated like he was tasting the name on his tongue. “Lovely name.”
“Is the cabin ready?” Void cut in, his tone not so warm anymore.
Igor must’ve gotten the warning because his face grew tight as he stepped away from me.
What was the monster’s problem? Igor was in his early fifties. I didn’t do men of that age.
“Yes. The very one you requested,” he said with a smile at Void, then inclined his head toward the entrance. “Please, let’s go in.”
Okay… Did he know who Void was? That he was The Torturer? He seemed to give him a certain reverence,
Igor Stanislav was a well known businessman and Ze Voyage was one of his many acquisitions. The man didn’t have any business trying to please someone like Void.
Void reached for my hand again, holding it as we walked into the boat.
The sight that greeted me looked unreal.
Holy smokes! All the hype about Ze Voyage was fucking real! The place was awesome!

It took me a moment to notice a lot of people–women mostly–were staring at us. Hold on, not at us at him.

It looked like a scene straight from a high school movie where the girls were all crushing on the hot basketball captain.

I glanced at the man holding my hand. Well, I wouldn’t exactly blame them for crushing. The man was charming and could. get any woman to do his bid. If only they knew the monster that laid behind this facade.
I wondered how fast their gazes would shift if they knew he raped me yesterday.
Would they still swoon?
We slowed down when a woman stepped into our path and gave Igor a hug.
“Machai!” she beamed when she looked at him, her voice high and fluttery.
She looked pretty in a long blue dress.
Void gave her a clipped nod. “Yvette.”
There was something about the way she looked at Void. It wasn’t entirely lust. It seemed…more.
When her gaze shifted to me, she appeared displeased. “I see you came with someone today.”
Igor then introduced her. “Rali, please meet my wife–Yvette.” He wrapped an arm around her waist.
Oh, wife. I thought as much.
“Hello, Rali.” Her tone was unmistakably cold. She didn’t even try to shake me. Well, neither did I offer my hand.
“Nice meeting you, Yvette.”
What was wrong with her, anyway?
Igor clicked his fingers at a cabin crew member who came rushing toward us.
“Please, take them to the presidential suite.” He turned to Void. “Your bags should be there already. We’ll be boarding soon.”
Void nodded once.
We turned to go, but not before I caught Yvette’s glare stabbing me right between the shoulder blades.
We walked for a bit, my hand still tangled in Void’s before arriving at the cabin. And God…
What in the floating fuck was this?
I stepped into a suite that looked like it had been designed by gods on a sugar rush of luxury. The room wasn’t just large; it was arrogantly large. Marble floors, a bed the size of a small country, velvet curtains thick enough to block out time itself and decorations that were too perfect.
I never thought it was possible to have such paradise on a boat. It must’ve cost him a fortune to rent this place for three days.
A part of me wanted to collapse into the comfor
