You Looked Down on Me Once, Now You Look Up. novel Chapter 207

The man slowly turned his head.

When his eyes landed on Theo, there was a sharp edge to his expression, something fierce and wild that flickered across his face before vanishing. Was that... disappointment?

Greg glared at Theo, his gaze ice-cold and a little unhinged. “So you’re the one who dumped me in that hellhole?”

Theo didn’t bother to answer. Instead, he tossed a stack of photos onto Greg’s chest. “Who else did you give these to?”

Greg glanced at the photos, picking them up and flipping through them with a smirk. “Plenty of people.”

He grinned, almost proud. “I even posted them on a website. Made some good money off it, too. Think you can trace it back to me? Good luck.”

Theo’s eyes narrowed, his whole vibe turning cold. He grabbed Greg by the shirt collar, ready to throw a punch, but then—out of the corner of his eye—he caught a glint of something metallic.

Instinct kicked in. He shoved Greg away, hard.

That’s when he spotted the scalpel in Greg’s hand, the blade catching the light.

Greg just laughed, wild and manic. “Come on, let’s see who gets to kill who first.”

“Mr. Newton!” A nurse rushed in, grabbing Theo and pulling him away from the door. “He’s not in his right mind. Please, don’t get any closer.”

Aiden hurried over and stepped in front of Theo, blocking his path, worry written all over his face.

He was scared Theo might actually get stabbed.

“How did he even get a knife?” Theo demanded.

The nurse looked flustered. “Maybe he hid it when we brought the trolley in. We’re not sure.”

Theo’s face was tight with anger as he brushed the nurse off and stormed out.

He’d come here to see if Greg had escaped or if someone had broken him out.

Turned out, he’d been wrong on both counts.

Theo climbed into his car, jaw clenched, looking like he could bite through steel.

The BMW pulled away from the curb.

Only after it was gone did the door of a black van parked under the trees slowly slide open.

Jackson got out and tossed a set of keys to the man slipping out the back door of the hospital.
