Chapter 596

Chapter 596

Third Person’s POV

Christine gave Fiona a meaningful look.

Fiona immediately said, “Everyone, let’s leave. We’re not needed here.”

Christine turned to Adelaide and said, “Feel free to speak your mind. There’s no need to hold back.”

Adelaide asked, “Christine, have you heard of Lorelai?”

Christine immediately recalled the person Leon had mentioned the night he bought Mexican tacos.

She had been suspicious of Lorelai from the start, thinking something was off about her.

Her heart leaped into her throat, and she didn’t hold back.

She said, “I’ve heard of her. Leon met her a few times, but he never mentioned seeing her again later.”

She recounted the story of Leon encountering Lorelai while buying Mexican tacos.

“It struck me as odd at the time, so I specifically instructed our people not to buy coffee beans from Lorelai’s Café. Leon didn’t take kindly to her either, because when he went back to buy Mexican tacos, the vendor told him that Lorelai hadn’t eaten the tacos she ordered that night and asked if the tacos had gone bad.”

“The tacos hadn’t gone bad at all. Leon just thought she was wasteful, so he didn’t like her and never bought coffee beans there again.”

Although Christine didn’t know what had happened, she instinctively wanted to clear Leon’s

name.

Luna Adelaide had come in person to talk about Lorelai–this had to be significant, especially since she was investigating the Madison treason case.

Adelaide was impressed by Christine’s perceptiveness.

“Fortunately, there was no further contact. Christine, that’s why I’m here today. I need to tell you that Lorelai’s real name is Wilorina. She’s the daughter of Hunt and a breeder. She was sent by Madison to get close to Leon.”

“And you’ve probably heard of Breeder Willow from the Soulrend Pack, Dwight’s breeder. That’s her.”

Christine’s face turned pale. “Oh my goodness, so glad Leon wasn’t fooled.”

She felt a chill run down her spine. If Leon had gotten involved with someone from Madison’s manor during the treason case, it wouldn’t have been Luna Adelaide coming to the door, but Gamma Adelaide with law enforcement.

She was relieved that Leon was a man who didn’t easily fall for such schemes. Wilorina, being breeder Willow, must have been incredibly beautiful. Most men would have been ensnared by her charm.

Christine quickly composed herself and looked at Adelaide gratefully. “Thank you for letting me know. I’ll write to him and warn him.”

Adelaide said, “Wilorina has changed her identity, and since Madison never publicly disclosed her, we can’t be sure of her intentions in approaching Alpha Tad.”

Christine understood what Adelaide meant–Wilorina was no longer breeder Willow, and with Madison out of power, she was a free agent.

If she was just looking for someone to rely on, Tad could indeed provide that.

If that was all it was, Christine wouldn’t be too worried.

But Wilorina was ultimately Madison’s person, and both the Ministry of Justice and Adelaide were aware of this.

If Tad got involved with her, things could get murky.

It could implicate the entire Ironclaw Pack and her children, which was her greatest concern.

“Luna Adelaide, if Wilorina really gets involved with Tad, would the Ministry of Justice……”

She stopped mid–sentence, realizing she shouldn’t ask.

This was a treason case. She was already incredibly grateful that Adelaide had come to inform her of these details. To press further would be greedy.
