Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 141

York poured himself another glass of whiskey, raised it with exaggerated gravity, and declared solemnly, "Since you don't want to talk about it, I won't say a word. Let's just keep this between us—sealed with a drink!"

Beasley snorted. "If you want another drink, just say so."

With that, he lifted his own glass and tossed it back in one go.

After setting down the glass, Beasley glanced over. "You still have those security photos, right? The uncensored ones."

York blinked, a little surprised. "You want them?"

"Yeah."

Beasley's reply was brief, his expression as flat and unfazed as ever.

York caught on right away. "You mean the dealership footage?"

He pulled out his phone and started scrolling.

There was no reason to ask for uncensored shots from the coffee shop across from Silverton—Beasley had been there himself. So the only footage he'd care about now had to be from the car dealership.

York quickly found what he was looking for—a short security video from the dealership—and forwarded it to Beasley.

He'd had someone copy all the surveillance footage that day, just in case it came in handy. Not that it had helped much in the end.

Beasley opened the video and watched intently.

For a fleeting moment, that ice-cold, aloof face actually softened—a hint of warmth flickering through his eyes and across his brow.

York almost rubbed his own eyes in disbelief. He blinked, looked again, and Beasley's expression was already back to its usual stern indifference.

Had he imagined that moment?

What had put Beasley in such a good mood was none other than the dealership security footage York had sent him that night.

It was a short clip—barely twenty seconds—but clear enough to make out everyone's faces.

So the middle-aged man who'd gone car shopping with Willow that day was Klein. Beasley's former father-in-law. Not the random guy York had implied she was seeing behind his back.

Beasley watched the video again and again. As they neared Opal Residences, it suddenly hit him—tomorrow was his birthday. Every year, Willow had prepared a gift for him, though he'd never bothered to look at them, always telling her to do whatever she wanted with them.

Lost in thought, Beasley finally lifted his eyes and said, "Take me to Baycrest Villas."

Terence was startled, but didn't dare question it. "Yes, sir, Mr. Windsor."

What on earth had gotten into President Windsor tonight? He was acting like a completely different person!

As Terence turned the car around, he silently reminded himself that curiosity killed the cat—and he'd better keep his nose out of this one.
