Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 191

"What do you want?" Willow shrank back, panic in her eyes, but the locked car door behind her left her nowhere to run.

The more frightened and defiant she became, the more something dark and furious rose inside Beasley.

He'd never believed Willow's feelings for him were pure, but hearing her say she'd never loved him—not for a single moment—felt like a slap in the face.

Beasley felt like he'd been made a fool of.

"Didn't you say just being near me makes you sick to your stomach?"

He leaned in, a cold, mocking smile curving his lips. "So if I do this, are you going to die from disgust?"

Willow's whole body tensed, goosebumps prickling her skin. Before she could react, Beasley's warm, strong hand seized her chin, tilting her face up to his.

His scent—icy, unmistakably masculine—seemed to fill every inch of the car.

The moment his lips crashed down onto hers, Willow's eyes widened in shock. In her mind, something snapped, the tension shattering all at once. Then everything went black.

She fainted.

Beasley had barely tasted the softness of her lips, hadn't even had time to savor his bitter triumph or carry out his cruel tease, before realizing something was wrong.

Panic shot through him as Willow's body went limp. Instinctively, he caught her, supporting her as she collapsed.

She actually passed out?!

He stared at her in disbelief, lightly patting her cheeks. She didn't respond.

Her eyes were shut tight, face pale as porcelain.

Now Beasley truly panicked. He quickly laid Willow flat on the back seat, unlocked the door, and rushed to the driver's seat, speeding toward the nearest hospital.

Sure, The Scott Group's international branches had positions that matched her skills, but Lionel didn't want Juliette living abroad long-term. So, he wisely kept his mouth shut.

"Has Willa come back yet?" Juliette glanced around and finally realized Willow was still missing. Worried that Willow's stomach was acting up, she decided to check on her in the restroom.

"I'm going to the ladies' room," she said, grabbing her phone as she stood.

Lionel quickly stopped her. "No need. Beasley took her with him just now."

"What? He took her?" Juliette's face drained of color. "Why didn't you stop him?"

Lionel sounded innocent. "They must have some things to sort out. Best let them handle it themselves."

Juliette's anxiety spiked, but she couldn't very well explain to Lionel the complicated history between Willow and Beasley.

She reached for her phone, intending to call Willow directly, but before she could dial, she caught sight of Willow's phone sitting untouched on the table.
