Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 282

“If you two end up together, you have to tell me right away.”

She wanted to let her own mom know as soon as possible, so her mother wouldn’t keep worrying.

Juliette couldn’t help being curious about how sharp this girl’s senses were. How could Tina pick up on things so quickly?

“You really think your cousin Lionel and I will get together?” Juliette asked, her tone playful and mischievous.

Tina nodded matter-of-factly. “Of course! Lionel likes you, and you like him. Plus, you’re both so good-looking. Your kids would be absolutely gorgeous, so why wouldn’t you end up together?”

Juliette’s cheeks flushed bright pink. “How do you know—how do you know your cousin likes me?”

Tina, both young and precocious, leaned in close and whispered, “I saw it. The way he looks at you—his eyes practically light up.”

His eyes… light up? Where did this kid even learn to talk like that?

Were all high schoolers this bold these days?

Juliette stared at her, momentarily speechless, while Tina just giggled beside her, clearly delighted with herself.

Just then, Tina’s mom and two housekeepers came over to call everyone for food, rescuing Willow from the little crowd that had gathered around her.

Lionel and Cordelia Worthington hadn’t arrived yet, so the group nibbled on appetizers while waiting for them.

The venue was decorated like something out of a dream—fairy lights, pastel balloons, and flowers everywhere. Tina had invited eight close friends, a mix of classmates and kids from the neighboring school, both boys and girls. The whole scene was warm and cheerful, filled with laughter and the easy camaraderie of youth.

Willow and Juliette found themselves swept back into their own student days, caught up in the infectious energy of the party.

At a quarter past six, Lionel finally arrived with Cordelia in tow.

Willow answered politely but straightforwardly, explaining that she was just here with Juliette for the party and didn’t really know Lionel all that well.

“I see,” Tina’s mother replied with a gentle smile. Then, after a pause, she added, “By the way, Miss Sheffield, I noticed how well you were explaining those study tips to the kids earlier. I was wondering if you might consider tutoring my daughter? If you have any free time on weekends, of course.”

Tina’s mother had originally thought that if Lionel and Willow were close, she could ask Lionel to arrange it. But since Willow had so openly said they weren’t friends, she decided to be direct and ask herself.

Willow wasn’t sure how much longer her “vacation” would last—maybe a month, maybe six, or maybe she’d be called away on another secret assignment at any moment. So she could only decline politely. “I’m sorry, I’m really busy these days.”

“Not even on weekends?” Tina’s mother pressed, sounding genuinely disappointed.

Willow shook her head. “No, I’m afraid not.”

Tina’s mother wasn’t ready to give up. “How about this: it doesn’t have to be a weekend, or even a fixed schedule. Just come whenever you’re free, and let me know ahead of time. I’d really love for you to help my daughter with her studies, even just once in a while. Would that be possible, Miss Sheffield?”
