Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 284

Cordelia stepped forward, offering a warm smile and a nod. “Yes, that’s right.”

She turned to Tina beside her. “Tina, didn’t you say you wanted to unwrap your present yourself? Go ahead!”

“Mm-hmm!” Tina’s grin returned, lighting up her face. She reached for the edge of the picture frame, carefully tearing away the brown wrapping paper to reveal the painting underneath.

It was a landscape, vibrant and full of life, the light and shadows layered skillfully to create a vivid atmosphere. The brushwork was masterful—you could tell the artist truly had talent.

Willow silently gave the painting high marks in her mind, and everyone else who saw it seemed equally impressed, voicing their admiration one after another.

“Cordelia, you’re amazing! It looks so real!”

“Look at these clouds—they almost seem to move!”

“Tina, are you going to hang it in your room? Imagine waking up to this every morning. It’d put anyone in a good mood.”

Tina’s friends crowded around, chattering excitedly about Cordelia’s painting, their voices overlapping in their enthusiasm.

Tina herself was naturally cheerful, and whatever unpleasantness she’d felt earlier was quickly forgotten. She turned to Cordelia with a bright, grateful smile. “Thank you so much!”

Johanna, a lover of art with several famous paintings hanging in her own home, studied the piece and couldn’t stop praising it.

Seeing everyone so taken with her work, Cordelia felt a new warmth toward Lionel, who had given her such thoughtful advice during the painting process.

Almost without thinking, she glanced up at Lionel—only to find him deep in conversation with the young woman beside him, his eyes soft and crinkled in a genuine smile, so different from the polite, forced ones he usually gave her.

“Really?” Johanna’s interest was immediately piqued. She turned to Willow. “I didn’t know you painted, Miss Sheffield!”

Willow replied, “I did a small one, actually, so I put it in a picture frame.”

“I want to see it! Where did you put it, Willa?” Tina’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

Cordelia blinked in surprise, curiosity tugging at her as well.

With everyone watching, Willow walked over to retrieve her gift box. She handed it to Tina with a gentle smile. “Happy birthday, Tina.”

“Thank you!” Tina accepted it with both hands, already eager as she started to open the box.
