Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 310

Waller was already waiting in the study, never bothering to return to his own room.

As Leo stepped inside and caught sight of his son, a hint of satisfaction curved his lips.

“Dad, she’s already married.” Waller spoke up the moment his father shut the door and turned around.

He’d wanted to bring this up earlier, back at the dinner table, when Mom had asked Dad for a photo of Willow. But out of respect for Willow’s privacy, he’d kept quiet in front of his mother.

His father, though, had been the one trying to play matchmaker—Waller felt he owed him the truth, if only to put an end to these well-meaning schemes.

Leo’s surprise was obvious as he stepped closer. “Where did you hear that?”

Waller didn’t answer directly. “She wasn’t trying to hide it. You just made assumptions.”

Leo paused, then quickly realized—his silent, stubborn son was actually defending Willow.

Well, well. This was unexpected. Delight bubbled up inside Leo, barely contained.

He pressed on, hiding his pleasure behind a curious tone. “Of course I know that. But you still haven’t told me—who gave you this news?”

And why, he wondered, was his son clinging to outdated information? If someone had told Waller Willow was married, maybe that’s why the boy was holding back.

“That’s not important,” Waller replied, unable to meet his father’s gaze. He looked away, feigning disinterest.

Leo gave his son a knowing look, then took a seat on the nearby sofa.

“Whoever’s keeping you informed,” Leo said, “maybe you should keep your distance.”

“Why?” Waller turned, genuinely curious.

Leo met his eyes, his voice calm but carrying authority. “Because their facts aren’t straight. Relying on bad information means you’ll miss your window.”

Waller frowned. “That’s impossible.”

He’d seen Willow’s marriage certificate with his own eyes—he knew it was real.

But that had been in his previous life.

Now, putting the pieces together with what his father had just said, it made perfect sense—Willow had denied Beasley was her husband because he wasn’t anymore. He was her ex-husband.

Waller’s dark eyes grew brighter, sharp with new understanding.

Leo watched the change in his son’s expression closely.

“Listen, I can tell you care about her. If that’s how you feel, don’t let yourself regret it. Opportunities like this don’t last forever.”

Waller’s heart pounded; he struggled to stay calm.

He had so much more to consider than his father could imagine.

If Willow was already divorced in this life, what had happened between her and her ex-husband? Was it just a broken relationship? Or… had there been something darker, something dangerous?

He regretted not asking more questions in his past life—about Willow’s abduction, about who had been behind it all.

Now he wanted answers, but it was already too late.
