Donovan's face darkened immediately after hearing Gideon's bold statement. He glared piercingly at Gideon, almost like he was going to punch him in the face right then.

Ethan sensed the tension between them and quickly stood between them once more while pushing Gideon away. "I told you to cut it out, didn't you hear me? He might be only a few years older than you are, but he's still technically Uncle Donovan to you. Don't be so disrespectful. Leave now!"

"Uncle Don?" Gideon suddenly realized that his rival was crowned as his elder and felt unhappy. It left a bad taste in his mouth.

He turned to Ethan and snorted, "What the hell are you talking about? You're the only person in the world I would address as my elder. No one else is worthy of this title. Since you now know the reason I'm here, talk to him and tell him to quit his crazy act.

"Even if Giselle was wrong, it shouldn't be as bad for her to end up being arrested for criminal charges and thrown into prison!"

"Okay, that's enough. Leave now." Ethan had a strong sense of unease the moment he heard Gideon mention Giselle's name and started pushing him out the door.

"Go. Head to your car. I need to have a private word with you." After Ethan got Gideon out of the door, his face was stern as he yanked Gideon downstairs.

Gideon didn't fight back once he saw how adamant Ethan was and followed him down reluctantly. He climbed into the driver's seat of his Bentley while Ethan took a seat beside him.

"Just say what you want to say, Uncle Ethan." Gideon never understood why Ethan had to be so sensitive every time he mentioned the Kanes or visited Kane Group's headquarters.

"Tell me the truth. What did you mean by what you said just now? Have you slept with Giselle?" Ethan demanded angrily.

"And I thought it was something so serious." Gideon leaned back into his chair leisurely. "I needed to find an excuse to get Donovan to drop the case. Did you really think I'd sleep with Giselle?"
