Leiss was practically beaming as he pointed toward the banquet hall. “Look how beautiful it is! Her only request was to design the marking ceremony herself–every detail done the way she likes. As long as she’s happy. For a girl, you’ve got to give the right gifts.”
Where Leslie’s “right” was, I had no idea. My chest dropped and my face went dark.
Leiss slapped my shoulder and winked. “We’ve got an event planned later–my mate set it up. I’ll get you an opening. We’re brothers–now that the bond’s repaired, I can’t stand to see you still suffering.”
I said nothing. I didn’t want to hear his boasting; I walked inside.
An opportunity? Ha. If Leslie wanted to give me one, she would have already, Lance muttered in my head.
Leslie’s POV
Eren came in behind me. No one was going to stop a child; he was thrilled to be free.
Carl and I exchanged greetings with some acquaintances while Eren found a table and dug into desserts.
The ballroom was dreamy and pristine. Every corner showed careful planning–Leiss had clearly spared no expense on this marking ceremony.
What a production, Asphodel snorted. Does every Crimson Moon beta have this much money?
I was about to tell Eren not to eat too much when the giant screen in the center went dark, drawing everyone’s attention.
After a stunned silence, the screen flickered back on–and my heart dropped. A slideshow began: photos of Leiss intimately posed with various women.
He was shown holding models on shopping trips, kissing small–name actresses, even in bed with several naked women.
A few of the images looked disturbingly familiar–weren’t they the ones I’d once exposed
online?
The effect was explosive. Laughter and clinking glasses died mid–air. The hall froze; the upbeat background music turned grotesque.

Chapter 378 A Band Unraveled
The show’s starting! Asphodel purred. Leiss is finished–and Leslie, did you expect this?
I kept my face neutral and scanned toward Leiss and Kelly.
Finished
This marking ceremony was about to become the biggest joke across the Northern Continent.
Leiss‘ POV
My mind went blank. It felt like someone had struck my head.
The photos scrolling on the main screen were a knife tearing apart the happy façade I’d built. I lunged frantic for the backstage area and shouted, “Stop! Who put those pictures up? Change it!”
My voice shook. Panic rose like a tide. Moon Goddess, who did this?
No one answered. The images kept scrolling, each one peeling away the lie I’d woven about my “happy” life.
This ceremony should have been my triumph. Now it was turning into the continent’s biggest humiliation.
The guests‘ congratulations sounded like mockery in my ears.
I had to get to the backstage–only one thought drove me: Kelly must not see this. She can’t see
But before I could reach it, there was another wave of shock from behind me.
I whipped around and saw several women stepping onto the red carpet–dressed in white wedding gowns, parading like models on a runway.
They were the very women from the screen.
My heart clenched. Fear flooded every pore; my face went white.
It’s over! This is truly over! a wolf howled in my head.
